Reasons for playing retro games

Because they're fun, easy to run (most of the time), and don't have any of the bullshit most modern games have.

It's easy to forget that they were once the new hot and fresh AAA games of a time, I like to play them putting myself in the shoes of the general audience when they came out. Games are always pushing the boundaries of technology, and that was true even back then. Like damn, when Metal Gear Solid first came out that had to have blown so many minds. With all that in mind, playing retro games nowadays is almost entirely free, and I am a broke uni student ::megadancebaby
