NES Really disturbing Super Mario USA Japanese Commercial

Birdo is a disturbing character in general.
Also I never knew the Japanese name is Catherine, seems very random.

I was thinking more of..."Hello, you must have seen me in Doki Doki Panic and wondering what the heck I'm doing in a Super Mario game..."

Just to avoid confusion...

Yeah...this was a bit weird and disturbing. But that's Japanese advertising in a nutshell. And it's bizarre that the All-Star version would come out 10 months later after the Japanese Famicom September 1992 release.

JP are no stranger to weird commercials and ain't just for games.::huhsonic

But that's Japanese advertising in a nutshell.
Honestly that was just kind of 90's advertising in general. I recently watched a youtube video someone uploaded of a vhs recording of a cartoon I used to watch as a kid taped off a local tv channel with all the commercials and everything from like 1995 or something like that and all the commercials were so fucked up. Everything was just so weird and slightly disturbing even though it was a kid's tv channel.

Edit: Here's the video
