The Villain Update is finally here!
Introducing new companions, quests, locations with puzzles, powerful new bosses, and polished CGs for each new character! This is the big update promised in a previous announcement; and now it's live.
Here’s a spoiler-free breakdown of what’s new:

• New Map: The Labyrinth of Urth. A cursed and sinister maze said to hold a powerful treasure at its heart.
• New Map: Apartment 66. What horrors lurk in the foul, shadowed halls of this decaying building?
• New Map: The Cloister of St. Basil. This forgotten medieval cloister hides a dangerous secret, guarded by three mysterious statues.
• Three Main Villainesses Are Now Recruitable Companions: Cassandra, Cristina, and Foix can now join your party!
• Each with her own unique set of abilities
• Each with a fully original companion side quest
• Each with multiple large, fully illustrated & more detailed CGs
• New Missions Focused on Puzzle Solving and Investigation
• New Dialogue Reactions when you bring the Villainesses in your Party
• Three Powerful New Bosses
• New Items Added
• Various Minor Improvements and Fixes

Currently I've posted on almost every site imaginable. Even on 4chan. Forums and imageboards might not be as sanitized but they have real enthusiasts who care about niche games like this one. Which is a huge advantage over more mainstream social media despite the difference in numbers. Also, I'm a fan of retro games myself.

Have you been on /agdg/? This is where I first heard of Bug Fables and other games. I used to lurk there and even participate myself for a period but it has been a while since I left 4chan entirely.

Hi everyone! The game is now on sale again, and to don't leave new and old players empty-handed I released a new update with it. Adding a new character and a horror-focused side quest which brings you to a secret location. Screens and full notes below:

• A Dark Elf in the City. Xandra is a new character coming from the Imperial Colonies, with her own portrait and dialogue options she'll be available from the beginning of the game in the Pub of the Velvet Rose.
• +10 Fully Illustrated & Detailed CGs.
• A New Horror Quest. A girl called Alicia has gone missing in the sewers of the City, where brutal acts have transpired and a challenging puzzle awaits.
• The Forgotten Warrens added. A brand-new location, with haunting horror tiles and assets made from scratch. Including torture devices and gothic props related to the Cult activities.
• A High-Level Boss added. This powerful boss has a gimmick that I'm pretty sure some of you will find familiar.
• 4 New Battle Backgrounds. 2 for interior battles & for city battles.
• A New Gothic Original Track composed by Devil Mistakes. Those who think vampires and metal are a winning mix will enjoy this.
• Myriad of Fixed Bugs & Typo Correction. Including some that made the elemental runes not equippable.

Hi everyone! I've been busy working on the game so sorry for not posting here more often. But since last time the game got a few more updates and the latest one came yesterday with the Steam Autumn Sale. It got significant added content. Including a murder investigation questline, 5 new characters, new romance scenes and even a new music track. The entire patch notes can be read below along with screenshots of the new characters. THE MURDER-MYSTERY UPDATE
A Full New Questline, 5 New characters, New Soundtrack and More for the Autumn Sale!

WE'RE FINALLY BACK BABY!
It's been one hell of a long month but September is almost over, and the new update has arrived just in time before it does. It's been quite the wait and the MURDER-MYSTERY UPDATE comes packed to compensate that. So let's get right down to it!:

• New Companion Questline. After receiving a message of a murder from one of the illustrious residents of RAVENSBURG, the pompous and authoritarian Lady Bruchâtel, the party must take the task to find the culprit of a heinous that finished her Mr. August, her dear butler.
• Focus on Investigation and Clue Finding. This time the players will have the opportunity to resolve a quest through purely non-violent means. This mission is designed to test the mental agility (or persistance!) of the players instead of throwing them pure beat-with-a-stick challenges.
• 5 New and Fleshed Out Characters. A proper mystery needs interrogations, questioning, suspects and possible allies. And all of it was included here with new characters! Not only they come with interactive dialogue lines, but also illustrated portraits with different expressions.
• 35+ New Fully Illustrated CGs and Variations. Oh yeah, I know some of you were waiting this by the hour. The new update comes with a juicy set of optional romance scenes for casanovas. Can't say much without spoiling it; but they feature new colouring techniques and full resolution drawings!

• New Relationship Point. Characters who enjoy romance now can further their relationship with Heratriz, the dark maiden. Although, for that, they would need to have complete her previous questline!
• New Original Soundtrack. Our great composer delivered another banger inspired by Goth, Metal, Dark Wave and other vampire-adjacent music genres. We uploaded it to YouTube so can check it right now!
• New Lore Addition. Players might finally see a member of the Kerrat race, which was mentioned in other instances during the game.
• Retro-compatibility. As always, the new update is compatible with older saves for players who have progress in the story or already finished it! Everything you have to do is load and play from there to see the new questline.
• Finally... RAVENSBURG IS NOW ON SALE WITH -40% OFF! If you had any friend interested in vampires, you have your new recommendation!

Dev Notes: Initially I wanted to throw this update in the middle of September. But I also wanted to offer something new and that's why I decided to try my hand at writing a proper, serious mystery. I also acquired a new drawing tablet and computer, which allowed me to try new drawing and colouring techniques. Much of this was thanks to all of you for liking this game in the first place, so thank you all.
In the future, I want to keep trying new interesting stuff.

Thank you both. I appreciate the comments and human interaction despite my lousiness to reply in time lol. You can lose sense of time when developing a game.

I decided to add another traditional RPG feature, an Journal that tracks missions and quests. These are not usually found in JRPGs, but they're very common in RPGs made in the west for the amounts of side quests they usually have. I made this one as requested by the players in Discord. I made it with the idea that modern UIs are too simple and kinda boring, so this is a throwback to thematic UIs like you used to see in restrooms in Horror games. I hoping to add something new and cool around Halloween as well.

Today we go with something a bit different but that I'm very excited to show you all about! And is that I'm proud to announce that RAVENSBURG now has its own Journal System!:

I have to thank all the players who suggested this feature on Discord. Despite not being the fastest server out there, I read every suggestion and comment. And all of you are invited to join and give your own opinions too!

Now, everyone knows all serious RPGs must have their own journal or at least a closet equivalent to keep track of quests, tasks, missions and the multiple chores and diversions thrown at players in their long and turbulent journey.

After all, being a Vampire investigator is not easy. Dreadful forces, devilish nightmares and endless temptations linger around every corner. That's why a journal is so important, so you don't get jumped by that werewolf you forgot to shoot a few hours back.

This system is certain to be carried to our future games developed in the future!

Features:

• Decorated and Embellished with Gothic Motifs and Design. You didn't think I was letting you down with some run-of-the-mil minimalist UI design, do you? As fans of the Gothic genre, we're firm supporters of MAXIMALISM and overdecoration.
• Written in 1st Person. A proper Journal doesn't break the immersion of the player; and this one always will take the protagonists point of view in its descriptions and hints.
• Dynamic and Easy to Use. The Journal can be accessed from the beginning of the game through the menu at any given moment.
• Minor Bug Fixes. Cherubim's Hand from Rosaire can now be used in allies instead of enemies.
• Alektor's CG can now be found in the Codex Memoriam. If the players have advanced his relationship. It was previously missing but now that's fixed.
• Removed typos.
• All the changes are retroactive! So old players will be able to enjoy these fixes even if they're in the middle or at the endgame.

Stay tune because Halloween is not over, and the spooky season may HAVE other surprises. Like always, if you enjoy these updates leaving a review on the Steam Page is a great way to help them and the game!

Hello everyone! Vampire Santa Claus has come early this year, ho-ho-ho.

Today is a special day, because we have an Update, a Sale and a New Game reveal.

The game will be on -40% Sale until 5 January of 2026! I know this has been a rough year for many, so a generous offer was in order. So please expend your Christmas bucks in this amazing vampire game and recommend it to others ദ്ദി（• ˕ •マ.ᐟ). Thanks those of you who buy it at full price too, you keep my hopes & dreams alive while I work on these updates (and now a new game as well!).

That said, let's go with the update since I know a lot of you were waiting for this since the last one in October.

• Luminita has a New Side Quest. Our favorite bad-tempered Hafling has a new mission. Unlike the previous one with Heratriz, this one is a continuation of Luminita's previous mission. Meaning that you will need to have completed her first mission before accepting this one.
• Luminita's New Portrait and Expressions. Like other characters previously I gave Luminita a more detailed new look but remaining loyal to her original design. Thanks to my dear friend Ella_B, (which you may remember from the end credits if you completed the game) for helping to sketch new expressions & guide me when my imagination runs dry! ( ⸝⸝´꒳`⸝⸝)
  
  
• A New Boss Battle. This fight comes with the new mission. It may not be as difficult as previously boss battle updates, but it will come with a surprise that I will let you discover for yourselves.
  
  
• +30 New Character CGs & Variations in Romance Routes. A new opportunity for the players to get closer to their favorite companions. Those of you who follow this route will find that an experiment with animated CGs was included. ( • ̀ω•́ )✧
• Retroactive compatibility. All of you who already completed the game will be able to load back and complete this mission without problems.
• All New CGs can be found in the Codex Memoriam.

Our punk, sexy, grunge and delinquent vampire girl who has a big problem with all forms of authority is the Heroine for our next dark adventure!

She lives in a Victorian-esque world shaken by the advent of a brutal Industrial Revolution, a War that decimated her country's population in half, everyday gang violence, a half-autocratic half-plutocratic regime, extreme revolutionary ideologies and last but no lest, SCHEMING SUPERNATURAL BEINGS that may or may not be plotting the END OF THE WORLD!

I already have a lot of the story beats and major characters written down, but not everything is set on stone yet as maps, missions all that sorta' stuff are missing still.
