Rate my RETRO GAMING ROOM šŸ—£ļø (and show yours!)

What did you use to frame these? They look so clean.
So. The boxes are made of "medium density fiberboard". They're spray painted black on the outside and white on the inside. I got them custom made.
I cut and hot glued these transparent plastic covers to the boxes. The boxes have this little indent on the borders that make the plastic panes fit, I just need a bit of glue to keep them in place. The plastic isn't acrylic, it's something cheaper that I can't remember the name.

The lighter consoles I used double sided tape and hot glue to stick to the back of the boxes, and the heavier consoles I found places in their insides where there weren't any components and just drilled and screwed them to the back of the boxes.

The boxes are hung on the wall with these little triangle hanger things that you'd use to hang framed photos, I don't know what they're called.

my mom walked into my room, saw this and said "what a mess"

The missus needed a study room so now I got a game corner
more like tralha corner

You've got Super Metroid loaded up in that SNES ready to go; 10/10 indeed!
Indeed, I recently replaced the battery so it should save for a while. I made it to Kraid and am juggling games atm but its really well made.

Yeah I am messy. My new years resolution will be to be more organized.
I see Super Metroid, Star Fox, and Chrono Trigger šŸ‘€
Yep I replaced the battery in Chrono Trigger too.
You really need to organize all those controllers on the ground, but still a very neato spot.
What is the best way to store analog stick controllers? Won't storing them improperly cause drift?

Drift is caused by two things
Degradation (which is you using them, not how you store them) and dust getting into the sticks
So what you want to do is store them in small, clean closed boxes so no dust can get into the sticks

This one might just win the competition! (if there was one)
Thx, I really appreciate it, still some work to do, but it's turning out really good
0/10 no crucified consoles

Or cords everywhere with controllers on the floor 🤪
Yeah, I kinda wish I could recreate the child like messiness while playing video games, disks and wires everywhere, But I don't have the real estate for that unfortunately
Those sexy beige computers...šŸ˜
I really love them, I was looking for one of those old flat desktop cases, Didn't find any at a reasonable price, But my plan is to make a sleeper build, Which it would be in the backburner for now since the ram ram crisis is upon us

Yeah, we are way past the times you could find them laying around, they are getting quite rare and pricey🄲

If you don't mind me asking, which parts does this computer have? This looks like a cheap machine and it seems it'd be really cozy to use.
You got it right !, It was a cheap refurbished OEM machine I bought from amazon in 2019, It's unavailable in amazon right now, but it's name is (HP 8300 Elite Small Form Factor Desktop Computer)

It's really strange why them exactly, other old cases are still out in the open and fairly cheap, anyway I was thinking about taking the case under the monitor and find someone who can paint it beige, But tbh I'm too lazy to take out it's guts right now, maybe down the line if I didn't find a flat desktop I'll do it

because they're different
other old cases are still relatively similar in color to what we have today. people stopped painting things that weird beige color
