Seong Mi-na from Soul Calibur III. I think it's good but she's got better in later games. The floral colors are nice and it expresses her overall aesthetic of being quite sporty with an exposed midriff and legs with a long loincloth to show off the fabric flowing technology from her acrobatic movements.
Overall: 3/7
I don't recognize this character. I would guess she's from an ATLUS RPG maybe? Similar to Seong Mi-na she has a split leg dress so she's probably based on classical central/south Asian culture. Her flowing sleeves and long hair as well as her stance make me think she moves quickly and acrobatically probably.

A common design for an everyman type character. Probably some sort of organization agent who's a veteran or tired from all the work so he slacks a little on the tidiness of his clothing.
Overall: 3/7 It's generic but that's because it's a perfect visual identifier of certain archetypes
Another I don't know. I guess she's from a Musou game, she has that kind of look where it's more about the Weapon readability that it is the Character design. She's fine. Can't go wrong with Red, Gold, and Black with Silver. Her headband, short hair, and only showing the skin of her calves and short midriff makes her look tomboyish.

A stern, mature woman with ornate layers and cold tones. Again, Red White Black and Gold is key.
I don't personally like these kinds of characters much but a well dressed woman in pants and a vest with tie is right up some guys' (and gals') alley.
Overall: 4/7 It's not my cup of tea but it's pretty good
It's kind of unfair that Forte existed for years before Shadow did but Shadow is 100x more recognized as the best "Main Character but DARK & EDGY". It was probably from how cinematic and in-your-face Shadow's tragic backstory was. I wish Forte had got a big role like Zero did in X.

Rufus' concept art from Street Fighter IV. It's a Got Damn SHAME we didn't get this guy. I don't hate Rufus but I hate that that was what they went with when he could have been a bad ass Shoto challenger like this. It's simple but it gets across immediately that this guy is a serious competitor with a bit of American flair.
Overall 5/7 (For the record, I'd give real Rufus a 2)
Nep. Meh. Looks like a dime-a-dozen million other waifu with swap-out wigs and eyes.

Mai is a masterpiece of simplistic conveyance of character. She sould be studied in art schools.

Someone from Granblue, if I'm not mistaken. I always liked the art I've seen but never touched any of the games. It's a bit overdesigned but that's pretty normal for fantasy anime now. Red Gold Black is joined here with a purple that looks pretty good. I can tell she's some kind of energetic warrior princess type.
Overall 3/7
No clue. At first I thought it was the Warrior guy from FFXIV but the artist looks more like the one behind FFTactics. It's a good representation of a guy whose job it is to fight and he's heavy but not too bulky. He has to carry bags for travelling as well. Remember: Red Black Gold!

Sakura's pretty iconic as well. The serufuku is unmistakable and then you got the tomboy short hair with the headband giving you all kinds of options for interesting shapes (this pic isn't one of them tho) and the big red sneakers and gloves. Someone said "Make girl Ryu but she acts the opposite" and they came up with this brilliant solution.

Shantotto. She's one of those 'hime' characters who cover their mouth to the side and go 'Ho ho ho' when snidely laughing at you. They didn't have a lot to work with, space-wise, when doing Tarutaru characters and that's probably why there's only like two or three important ones. Uually they're cute and cheery looking but Shantotto is haughty and egotistic so it's a funny subversion. She's become FFXI's iconic character because there's not really any others, unlike XIV which is choking with overdesigned sore-thumb stand-out characters.8/10!

Someone from OMORI. Never played. Love her pastel colors and "don't call me cute" threatening aura.

A Prince of Persia? LoL character? Kinda boring. He's got the big red sash to make cool shapes with and a stupid looking sword with a small handle.
Overall 1/7
DoA girl? She's wearing a costume that's meant to look like another character maybe? Or just a Halloween 'costume' of an Oni with the classic tiger skin and white hair with horns.
Overall 2/7 It's cute at least
Can't see shit.

Definitely looks like an evil mastermind. So focused on his intelligence that he floats in a chair instead of using his vistigial legs, and has some kind of tubes attached to his brain that either feeds its massive energy requirement or pumps out some kind of psychic energy?
Overall 3/7
Mugen is a great design, and Jin too as the perfect opposite. Simple apparel with his gangly arms and legs exposed for all of his jumping and breakdancing. He's wiry so you know he's fast and strong but not as strong as someone big and bulky like a lot of the enemies are. His clothes are kinda dirty, willd unkempt hair and scratchy beard so you know he's a poor wandering kind of trouble maker.
Overall 5/7
Insanely overrated Pokemon. Gengar is the Pikachu for those "not like other girls".
That said, it's still iconic. It's basically Halloween if it was a creature. Cheshire Cat grin, face taking the whole body up is spooky but cute.

I like his PreTS a lot better, but at least it's not as bad as Franky's PostTS update.
