Matrix, my rating 9.8, great movie, I liked it a lot. I tried new movies, it was the first movie I watched last year, and it was the first movie I managed to watch until the end, even with the intense scenes.

Matrix, my rating 9.8, great movie, I liked it a lot. I tried new movies, it was the first movie I watched last year, and it was the first movie I managed to watch until the end, even with the intense scenes.

It's an incredible movie for sure. The special effects were so groundbreaking when it came out. And almost all of them still hold up well today. Glad you enjoyed it. :]

Yeah my taste in movies kinda sucks LOL. I was never much of a film enjoyer. I blame it on my ADHD, I just don't care to sit down for like 2+ hours and watch the same thing, I need variety. TV shows being episodic is just a format that jives better with my brain.

Anyway, my favorite was probably either Clerks or The Princess Bride.
Clerks was super funny, and a lot more clever than I expected. The writing was really fantastic. I can't believe how much stuff they got away with showing on camera. Even for the 90s, some scenes were raunchy lmao.
The Princess Bride was very cute, clever, and I loved a lot of the physical stunts/gags/props. I loved the story, I loved how witty Westly was, I loved the re-occuring "prepare to die" line. I fully plan on rewatching it.

My least favorite was probably either Dark City or Clerks II.
Dark City was just really boring, and there were too many annoying plot holes. I didn't care about the main character at all. And the ending twist was so stupid.
Clerks II wasn't horrible, it just didn't live up to Clerks for me. Everybody was SO MEAN in Clerks II for absolutely no reason. The only character I liked was Elias (the highschool kid that got bullied the entire movie), he was just a poor kid thrown in the middle of a crappy situation. He did not deserve all that bullying.

É, meu gosto para filmes é meio ruim, rsrs. Nunca fui muito fã de filmes. Culpo meu TDAH, simplesmente não consigo ficar sentado por mais de duas horas assistindo à mesma coisa, preciso de variedade. Séries de TV, por serem episódicas, funcionam melhor para o meu cérebro.

Enfim, meu favorito provavelmente foi Clerks ou A Princesa Prometida.
Clerks foi hilário e muito mais inteligente do que eu esperava. O roteiro era realmente fantástico. Não consigo acreditar em quanta coisa eles conseguiram mostrar na tela. Mesmo para os anos 90, algumas cenas eram bem picantes, rsrs.
A Princesa Prometida foi muito fofa, inteligente e adorei muitas das acrobacias físicas, piadas e adereços. Amei a história, amei o humor de Westley e amei a frase recorrente "prepare-se para morrer". Pretendo reassistir com certeza.

Meu favorito menos preferido foi provavelmente Dark City ou Clerks II.
Dark City foi simplesmente muito chato, e tinha muitos furos no roteiro. Não me importei nem um pouco com o personagem principal. E a reviravolta no final foi estúpida demais.
Clerks II não foi horrível , só não chegou aos pés do primeiro filme, na minha opinião. Todo mundo era MUITO MALVADO em Clerks II sem motivo nenhum. O único personagem de que gostei foi o Elias (o garoto do ensino médio que sofreu bullying o filme inteiro), ele era só um pobre garoto jogado no meio de uma situação horrível. Ele não merecia todo aquele bullying.

It's weird that they dubbed his voice with some other guy's voice in the movie and yeah, maybe he had plenty of horse meat in his diet, maybe he eats it or something like that.

I bearly watched any movies
I did see superman with David Corenswet it was decent.
Then I re-watched the new DND movie still damn great
The new Dune movie only part 1 it was okey I prefer the orginal movie + I hate Zendaya so not sure if I wanna se part 2 of she gonna be a pain in the second and third.


Then I can´t rememer what more I watched I did ad them to my IDMB but I have like 10 lists with 100 movies each so yeah.

I bearly watch movies today becuse they become pure slop that loves to talk down to me and tell me what a shitty human I am or the writing is just bad like Wakanda forever my god pure trash.

i didnt really watch all that much new stuff in 2025 but ill give some blurbs about what was new to me

the toxic avenger (2023) - i was waiting for this one to get that wide release since it came out so that probably contributes most to the overall disappointment i felt. the charm of the original was that id never seen a movie do the things it does before and that isnt really here. the fact the deadpool movies were better at this type of insanity is wild. 4/10

hamilton - i was a theater kid when this came out back in like 2017 so i was there when this took over as the hot topic of the year but i never saw it till now. i can see why it had that kind of effect on release but im not really a highschooler anymore so i just walked away with a vague "it was good and im down to watch it again sometime." 6/10

war or the worlds (2025) - i actually took so long to write this that ranmyalkuchi posting about it reminded me this exists. some of the biggest laughs of the year for me and the fact this movie came out at all but my next mention almost didnt is some kind of cosmic joke. this one doesnt even get a number from me.

looney tunes: the day the earth blew up - this one tended to come up whenever coyote vs acme had its discourse, so while not as anticipated as toxic avenger i probably liked this one significantly more despite not being all that big on looney tunes. 6/10

chainsaw man the movie: reze arc - i re read the arc after watching the movie and im a little sad only the second half of the arc is extended in the movie. reze is still effective in the story but wouldnt it have been cool if her reveal as the bomb devil wasnt so obvious and also in the trailer. when i read the arc as it came out, it blew my mind because you had to wait a week to get more and that gets lost once its all said and done. wouldve been cool if the bomb devil had a better bomb under the table moment than just the festival montage. 6/10

the terminator - the last movie i watched in 2025 and first of 2026. its interesting to see that kyle is sort of framed as a villain in the beginning and it makes the twist that schwarzenegger then plays a good guy in t2 more effective. from the way cyborgs are described at first i wondered if at one point the terminator was meant to actually be a human especially as the terminator here is a lot more expressive than in later entries. 7/10

going through these i realize i didnt really like or love much of the "new" stuff i watched this year which is kind of sad. ive yet to watch sinners since that one was interesting from just the trailer in the theater and then it was lorded as really good so please god let this one be good for realsies.
