Racing Games Talk.

The Lexus LFA concept is unbeatable in the Fast and the Furious PS2, especially when fully tuned. Might use this one when I stream the game.

Gran Turismo 4 is still a blast to play even today. The Nurburgring Nordschleife track is grueling.

I've never played Mario Kart in my entire life, where should I start?
Honestly you can start from any of them, in my opinion. I'd recommend Mario Kart Wii for its gameplay and tracks, personally. Bikes are really fun to use in that one.

8 Deluxe is the most accessible on switch, and it's probably the best one
But personally I really like Double Dash on GameCube, but MK Wii and DS are also great
MK is definitely something you play with a group of friends or family, and obviously there is no campaign

I messed up by playing R4 as a kid. I've played a lot of racing games since then, new and old, sim and arcade, and none of them quite compare to how unbelievably good R4 is to me. Shoutout to the original Need for Speed though, as a distant 2nd place.

You really are missing out and MC2 is the peakest of the franchise with the music and balls to the wall difficult gameplay
I would play it, but:
No PC or Laptop.
Potato phone.

well it is on PS2 too tho, all 3 games, 1, 2 and 3
Don't have a PS2, either.
Mom sold it more than 10 years ago.
I'll play Midnight Club when I have either a new PC, Laptop or phone with more powerful specs.

Loved Crash Team Racing, I play it to this day. Hoping Nitro Fueled comes to PC someday.

Aside from that, I played a fair share of Gran Turismo 2, even though I'm not particularly good at it.

...and then there's Test Drive 6.

Far from a polished racing game, but I'll be damned, it is funny.

Someone already beat me with Road Rash being listed but I will throw in Twisted Metal and Destruction Derby.

Favorite car hands down the 1962 Corvette.

Midnight Club 3 is an awesome PS2 era driving game with an open world. Love me some sandbox driving where I can just bomb around the map at top speed trying to avoid crashing.

Fave car: Lancia 037 Stradale. It's a beautiful machine but good luck finding one that's not 95% rust these days. Also good luck finding one at all they only made like 200 of them.

Can't beat the classics. Best car Ford ever made, probably.

My first racing game: NFS Underground (PC)
My favourites in right order: "Wipeout Pulse" (PSP), NFS (PSVita), Wipeout 2048 (PSVita)
Favourite cars: Porsche and Lamborghini
Oh wow, surprised someone has MW2012 as their favorite, nice! I liked it too, ran amazingly on my PSTV.

I’ve said it before but Midnight Club LA was my jam.
Wish Rockstar would make racing games again. ::thinking

Been keeping an eye on the Early Access ongoings. Fittin' to be legit!
Actually, I've been kinda obsessing over the Genki racers as of late.
Racing Battle (PS2) is an absolute gem!
Doing the battles on circuit courses like Suzuka is a hoot!

Sexy as all getup.
Absolutely monstrous.
Did you need to turn a corner?
Tough. All you have is torque. Buckets and buckets of unruly V10 torque.
Impracticality incarnate.
