Well, Ace Frehley Died today.
Most of you probably know him as This guy from KISS.
Not a big KISS fan, but R.I.P. dude, may the halls of heavy metal open wide for you

Oh damn. Him, Ozzy, and Brent Hinds all went out this year, very sad. Only information about Ace is that he died peacefully after some kind of fall in his house, he was 74 so that could do it.

I'm not a terribly big KISS fan, but I always knew he was a great guitar player who a lot of people overlooked due to how relatively simple the music was. The guy could let loose when he wanted to. His little lead licks in Watching You are great, and I really like his solo in Strutter and his leads in Black Diamond.

I had a friend who was way huge into KISS in high school. Like, he was the newspaper editor and he ran this article about how students polled about their favorite bands all picked KISS... in 1995 in Southern California, no less. Like, come on dude. Anyway, his favorite was Ace, so I heard a lot of stories about the guy. I haven't been in touch with that friend in years, but I'm sure he is tore up over this news. RIP
