Happens whenever i insert a disk into my wii

Might be either an error with the disc reader or the disc itself might have been damaged even if slightly

This... basically >XD

Joking aside, as mentioned above, the disc is bad, the laser is going out of the drive, or the Wii's disc belt drive is kaput.
Have you tried a music CD?

*Wait, will a Wii even read those? I honestly don't remember.*

yeah, most likely explanation is either a worn out disc reader or the disc is scratched or otherwise unreadable.

Yeah wouldn’t be surprised, this thing was from my cousins

nope. you need special software to get it to recognize a regular dvd. the wii like the gamecube and wii u, have their own specialized discs to use to store games on.

Yeah, it had been so long since i had used a Wii i honestly forgotten

i found out about that because i wanted to make a back up of one of my wii games and the cd drive wasn't detecting the disc. i would have done it through the wii but half the time i would get error messages when copying the games to an sd card or flash drive.

Pretty old, most likely from 2008/2009
Ok maybe the reader can no longer read the CDs so well. I can still remember my Wii U everything went well in the first 3 years but from the 4th year onwards things slowly went downhill many CDs were hardly read properly or not played at all and when they went only with mistakes.

Most people have said this but adding as well:
Disc read/File access error. Bad disc, bad drive, bad relationship between both. Could be just a dirty disc needing a bit of clean might be fucked up and time to invest in some letterbombs and external hard USB2.0 hard drives.

Akari is so irrelevant that even destroys things.
