Would you consider cso or chd format for games that support it (such as psp)? They would be a third of the size. Only downside, I think they need an emulator rather than real hardware.

CSO works on real hardware. CHD does not. Thus I would only recommend CSO so everyone can use the file.

cso also works on hardware! I have a psp and i use cso files since i only have a 4gb memory stick
