Xbox hasn't been profitable since the Xbox One, Playstation dominates the hardcore market. Unless both companies lock their exclusives, aggressively market their consoles at a loss and put a middle finger to PC, there wont be any competition.

The worst part of all this is they're doing it because people keep buying them. So as long as they can get away with it, they're not going to stop. In fact, I believe they're going to get even greedier.

The price going up in a generation is stupid. In every previous generation the price went down.

They've had the excuses of COVID, chip shortages, and now tariffs. It's been a weird generation, but even when these things don't exist in the future, I don't trust corporations to ever go back to how things once were. It seems like corporations are going all in on greed.
