While "good" is subjective I'd say Maken Shao is kind of a hidden gem that rarely gets mentioned. It's hard to argue if the Dreamcast or PS2 version is better (I haven't played enough of the PS2 version to make that conclusion) but most of my frame of reference comes from the DC game.

It's a third person hack and slash game where you play as a sentient sword/weapon on a mission to align with whoever you choose, really. It gives the game a fair amount of different paths and a few different endings. One of the primary mechanics is "brainjacking" to take control of different key characters who end up having different abilities, interactions, etc. The combat is a little rough around the edges at times but it has soul, and despite it getting pretty difficult later on I still enjoyed it.

10,000 Bullets
Okage: Shadow King
Drakengard
Bujingai: The Forsaken City
Robot Alchemic Drive
Genji: Dawn of the Samurai
Haunting Ground
Lupin the 3rd: Treasure of the Sorcerer King

Musashi: Samurai Legend
The Sword of Etheria
Rumble Roses
Crimson Sea 2
Sub Rebellion
Nightshade
Tokobot Plus: Mysteries of the Karakuri
SkyGunner
Crimson Tears
Innocent Life: A Futuristic Harvest Moon
Road Trip

Boku no Natsuyasumi 2!
The coverart image of Boku no Natsuyasumi 2: Umi no Bouken Hen

Grandia 3.

Only because that game alongside Xtreme are the only two Games, not counting the GBC Game that never gotten a rerelease on Modern Consoles.

I've enjoyed:
"Grandia 2" (turn-based rpg),
"Stella Deus" (tactical rpg)
"Atelier Iris 3" (turn-based rpg)

I've picked the ones others didn't mention. These games became "hidden gems" due to the way their existence was overshadowed by other popular games as if PS2 had only that games but not these:

Rogue Galaxy

Radiata Stories

Test Drive Eve of Destruction

S.L.A.I.: Steel Lancer Arena International

Phantasy Star Universe: Ambition of the Illuminus

Beat Down: Fists of Vengeance

Dark Cloud 2

Baroque (PS2 remake)

Auto Modellista

Bully

The X-Files Resist or Serve

Shinobido: Way of the Ninja

Kaido Racer 1

Metal Saga

The Warriors
Disaster Report
Echo Knight beyond
Extermination
Downhill Domination
Shadow of Rome
Psi Ops
Zone of the Enders 2
Vievtiful Joe
Cold Winter
Mark of Kri
Freedom Fighters

Enjoy !
I forgot Downhill Domination. That game's fantastic.

Kinetica is another cool game nobody ever mentions. Also XGIII: Extreme G Racing and XGRA: Extreme-G Racing Association. Fur Fighters: Viggo's Revenge is a fun game, too.
