It's not really about who the members currently are, though, but who could be seeing that, too.

With The Repo and the forum existing as basically the same thing nowadays (even down to comments on individual game pages!), stuff like that could really bother the casual user just looking for a download and drive them away.

Does it suck? Yeah, it kinda does.

But it is what it is.
