I give up, man.

I just didn't think FMV could be this fun and interesting... But this one just is.

Plus, you can tell that everyone involved had such a wonderful time making the game that it draws you right in by sheer complicity -- you have a good time with these characters because it feels impossible not to. And that, in turn, bridges any gaps that the script and the acting could have, actually soaring above them.

I just love how even simple, mundane actions like showing objects to the suspects becomes a delight to watch because of how the entire cast reacts to being interrogated that way. This is certainly not Sherlock Holmes, but that's for the benefit of the story, honestly.

Oh, and they kinda ran out of budget towards the end... but, again, there's a certain charm to it.

I love it!

It looks interesting but for an FMV game, why does it need quad core?

Probably because the lead writer was literally learning how to code as he made it. I can totally see optimization not being a part of the equation at all.

This answers all of my questions I was about to ask about it. It's kinda wild to still see people making FMVs in the 2010s and now. I dig it as a style, even though it's usually shit. It's like watching a bad movie but you get to play the bad movie!

Look up Fox Hunt. It's funny.

Sorry to disagree, but everyone knows the height of FMV excellence was achieved on the mighty Sega CD. Just look at Make My Video: Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch

I'm surprised these are still a thing.
I'll admit, got this one because I'd wanted to see the female lead's acting ability playing a scientist; since she comes out in Letterkenny. Beat the game a couple times got 2 different endings out of well, a whole bunch, don't remember the number of endings.

If I remember correctly, there is also korean game, which use real people as well, i think it's few years ago, i could be wrong though. But i heard the review is quite positive.
