Prince of Persia Remake Cancelled - "To reclaim creative leadership and restore sustainable growth."

Ubisoft's feet by now

Wonder if that black flag remake was cancelled as well. Also, did the deal for Tencent to buy out Ubisoft ever go through? Regardless Ubisoft has needed a reset for years, and less remakes in development is always a good thing in my book.

I am not shocked I the slightest, and I'm still happy I got my original copy on GameCube. I really don't wanna touch anything from that company anymore, unless it's an older game and I get it used.

Gag me with a spoon about that "reclaim creative growth" nonsense. The only thing creative coming out of Ubisoft is what's the newest way to be corporate cow dump. Next thing would be Ubi making Beyond Good and Evil 2 with AI. (Yea how's early development going far there.)

So, the Prince of Persia series has become so convoluted that the reboot of the franchise is getting a remake after having already been rebooted....TWICE!!!

At this point its not even a franchise anymore, how many times you can tell the same story about a prince that lives in persia?

More layoffs. I know there are people who need to eat and looking for jobs, but they shouldn't even bother going to this company. Even for temporary reasons they shouldn't go.
