I know that this seems a bit random. But, i was thinking about PC parts over the years, GPUs i wanted but could not afford. You can find all sorts of things now, laptops that cost thousands of dollars when they were brand new. Now, just a few dollars on ebay. So I've been wondering, 5 or 10 years from now, what do you think an RTX 4090 will sell for? Or anything else that the average person can't really afford today.
Because, I probably won't feel like this stuff is actually 'that' obsolete. My 5070 already does nearly all i need it to do. If an upgrade is that cheap, why not? What are your thoughts? Obviously this is looking way ahead. But prices DO drop eventually, quite a bit too. (RAM prices are like a whole other topic). When will today's best tech become tomorrow's landfill, or be affordable to us who want it?
