From The first series with Cure Black and Cure White to the currently airing Kimi to Idol PreCure everyone has a favorite! Be your favorite cure clad in pink, red, yellow, green, blue, purple. or any other color they come in all are welcome in this thread!

It’s got themes in terms of morals taught yes, at it’s core it’s usually a series about girls in school who get granted the power to fight various antagonists, there’s some school drama stuff sometimes slipped in and maybe romance depending on the series.

The fights are killer, like very fun, I’d recommend it if you’re into the genre.

Interesting. I am indeed into the genre but my current experience doesn't go beyond Tokyo Mew Mew and a little of Cardcaptor Sakura.

Is it a collection of standalone series or is it all one big continuation?

It’s confusing on the canonicity since there are moments where series intersect like in crossovers but it’s basically stand-alone each series.

As for the gif, that’s Smile Precure! Good one to start on if you want.

Pretty Cure stories aren't directly connected, so you can start with the one whose design you like the most. They're all great!

Really? If you don't particularly care for longer anime, what is some that you like? I can see longer anime being hard to get through, currently going through Marmalade Boy and man, they really could've trimmed it down a bit

Agreed on Marmalade Boy can make do without some of the arc.

I like Cardcaptor Sakura, Blood+, Hokuto no Ken, Yu Yu Hakusho, School Rumble, Aria to name a few. But I watch those either because I watched it when I was a kid and I had time or I watched it as it airs and didn't know it's gonna be long.

Ah, that's a totally understandable reason. I think most people tend to binge watch anime thus making any long anime seem that much longer. I try to keep my anime watching to a weekly thing inbetween every other thing I watch/play/read, so longer anime is more palatable
