To keep it short:
Me and some friends were trying to play Wipeout Pulse and Tekken Dark Resurrection yesterday on PPSSPP and it was literally impossible. We tried everything and couldn't get into a game. I don't know what happened at the end, after about an hour and a half of trying it finally started showing us rooms on Wipeout, but we still couldn't get into them.
Does anyone know how to actually use PPSSPP netplay?

Some of the options might affect it like Port Offset, Minimum Timeout, etc. Try this guide here https://github.com/hrydgard/ppsspp/...ind-out-if-a-player-have-blocked-ports-or-not
This is what we went with for the most part, along with other guides. Nothing worked. It's weird because years ago I played MHFU and DBZ Tag Team on PPSSPP online, but back then all you could do was enable online play and just get in there. Seems like since they added all these updates everything broke.

If you're trying to connect with a friend and play the same game, I think that's "Ad Hoc." And this is what I did:

Enable the WLAN service and Ad Hoc Connection.
It's very important to change the server connection IP: you should [usually] enter the last one on the list that will appear when you click there.
I've only done this while connected to the same Wi-Fi network on both devices, or at least when one of them provides the connection, and I correctly entered the IP for that connection.

I recommend enabling forced first connect

That's what I understood you to mean, and that's how I used to do it. I hope it helped.
