The CoD CE with a canteen that actually couldn't function as a canteen. The infamous Witcher 2 Geralt bust. The Dead Island Riptide "sexy" bikini torso statue. The mini punching bag of the main villain that came with Lunar 2 Complete. The shitty Rubiks Cube-knockoff Target used as a preorder incentive for like three different Nintendo games. The Mario Party Jamboree totebag (gave that to my sister so I wouldnt be subject to hate crimes). That's just off the top of my head.

Pretty similar to this one https://retrogametalk.com/threads/funniest-pre-order-bonus.4520/#post-70952. Anyway, my favorite would be the PS2 preorder bonus. Halo 2 did the same thing, but this one even has the shapes

That one Halo 3 Legendary Edition that came with the moderately sized Chief helmet. The only time I actually really bothered for a proper high-tier fancy edition (excluding the HGSS editions that had the figures and pokewalkers).

You received Ocarina of Time and Ocarina's Master Quest for Pre-ordering Wind Waker on GameCube.

Pokémon Colosseum recieved two different Pre-Order bonuses between the US and Japanese releases:

The US version gave you a bonus disc that could send the mythical Pokémon Jirachi into your Pokémon Ruby or Sapphire GBA cartridge.

The Japanese bonus disc gave Japanese players the ability to transfer Celebi to any GBA mainline Pokémon game, however unlike the US bonus disc, you needed to complete Colosseum before you can transfer.

This Star Fox Adventures preorder set that I got back in 2002, which included a custom labeled green apple Jones Soda and an actual roll of toilet paper with game hints:

Man that's sick. Circuit City takes me back

I'd make an obvious quip about the toilet paper but I've never actually given Adventures a try so I'll hold my tongue.

From what I recall, most of the complaints about the game were based on the fact that it didn't follow the Star Fox formula, which is fair enough considering it was meant to be an original IP called Dinosaur Planet (the N64 original has been dumped and restored to a fully playable state). IMHO, it holds up well enough as a standalone adventure game.

That's what put me off. But then I played Assault and that was a wet fart of a game, so maybe Adventure will make it on my to-play list.

Pre order bonuses that just give items that you can get through normal play is so dumb haha, I remember brilliant diamond and shining pearl doing something similarView attachment 48369
It's so baffling. Presumably most people who preorder are big fans already, so when they give you free crap it's like they're saying "We know how much you love this series so you get the choice to play it less!"

When I was 7 or 8, I had a pokemon platinum giratina promo figure
I stuck his claw in my pee hole while I was bathing and it hurt
I don't know why I did that

MGR: Revengeance got a sick Raiden figure in Japan/EU and a tacky plasma lamp in the US. Still furious about it.

I could be misremembering the exact edition, but if I recall correctly when Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire were going to release I think North America and Europe got cool mini statues of Groudon and Kyogre and some posters, while down here in South America all you got was a code for 100 potions

Kept the heavy paperweight gun. Sold the rest. Now that I reminisce on this, maybe I should have kept the mini artbook as well...
