Post a random gaming fun fact!!

3DO and EA share the same CEO at the time.

Haunted Castle (The Arcade Castlevania Game) was made in 3 months and the game's director hate this game.

Lazeractive has separate adds for the Genesis and Turbografx (Along with the PC Engine and Mega Drive).

Despite being a failure the N6DD has a North American version that was found.

Bubsy 3D started as a 32x game then was rushed out of the door on the PS1 with barely enough time to change it. The Dev team wanted to remake the game after they saw Mario 64 and Crash 1 but were denied by the publisher.

There is no copy protection on PC Engine CD.

The FDS (Famicom Disk System) was going to release in the West but due to the fact that cartiridges got cheap. The plan was cancelled.

Blaster Master Zero 3 is one of the only time where Japanese and American canon can co-exist.

Mega Man Zero 4 exists because Capcom denied Inti-Creates from making Mega-Man Zero 1.5 after finishing Zero 3.
OMG! It would be terrible if the ending of Zero 3 closed character's arc (I prefer the ending of 4).

The team behind Twilight Princess desperately wanted to make a sequel for it, but the pitch was constantly rejected by Miyamoto. Not a 'barely linked sequel' as most Zelda games but rather a direct continuation.

Miyamoto constantly rejected these otherwise amazing idea-after-idea pitches due to it 'not being what he wanted'. He didn't want the next mainline Zelda, rather a "side story".
This constant tension between the team and Miyamoto ultimately led to Link's Crossbow Training with a lot of lasting resentment after the project was finished.

On the same topic of Zelda, Retro Studios pitched a spinoff one day that would have been about the Shiekah tribe with vast, dark tones to the story. It wouldn't have played like a traditional Zelda game either, something very different that underwent a variety of different forms during brainstorming.
Some of the lingering concept art you can find in the wild is jaw dropping

Ultimately, this game remained concept art as the design for the game wasn't up to Nintendo's seal of quality and Retro leadership adamantly refused to change direction.
