Popular console you dislike or feel meh on

Wii U is laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame
Next question.
Discuss.
i would not say that the wii u is popular but yeah is lame.

Also i really don't care for the PS4. Don't mean i hate it but i really think is the worst playstation. And before i trigger someone for saying PS4 and not PS5. Yes i don't care about the PS5 either, but i never even tried that console. Also i really dislike the ps4 controller, and all my irl friends that had it had like one or two controller broke on them.

After Father passed, the Intellivision was such a comfort to Mother. We were, all of us, blind to their intentions; using our family's name to hide from creditors, our coffers to settle gambling debts, and treating our tenants very ill. They drove my sainted aunt to an early grave from the consumption, and planned to marry my sisters and I off for a pittance, isolating Mama all the more.

When Intellivision blundered home drunk, clambering up the stairs, Eustace and I saw our grim opportunity. "He fell, oh he was such a state, lost in his cups!' we told the constabulary. The guilty weight on my immortal soul...

...it's lighter than I imagined.

Ah shit sorry man

HEY! I LIKED THE WII U! I know it wasn't that great but it had a really good online community that made me feel like I had teleported back to 2005 and not all of it's limited games were bad, either! I'm not sure there's a console I can really pick that isn't modern which would be cheating, all of them have redeeming features and it feels kind of silly to dismiss them. And modern consoles obviously suck for a variety of reasons.

I'll just say PS4. I have one, and despite the exclusives it had.. I still regret it. It feels weird my only console right now is a Switch.

Xbox, any generation. I never saw anything on them that made me interested in owning any of them. To me, they're just weak PCs without the back catalog and the emulators.

the wii u is a cautionary tale: never get too comfortable. the wii was a massive success and they expected the wii u to have the same result. the gamepad is a neat idea, playing on it like a handheld, or as a second display when using the tv. i'm guessing after hearing about the various results of the wii and ds [motion controls and touchscreen controls], and learning that the gamepad could do both might have scared off some developers; which lead to fewer games being made for it. just over a 150 games got physical releases and about 1,300 games were released over a 10 year period and sold 13 million units, beating the ps vita. sounds good, but the wii did 101 million units during its run.

the wii u is a good console, but nintendo got sloppy with its release and subsequent handling of the situation. that's why the switch is doing better.

Damn, what a story
I hope you're doing better ::bigboss

for the record I don’t really like these questions, I already know how to dislike things, I wanna know how to make things work and like them!

Anyone can back away from something it’s not an impressive skill :/

Not a fan of Sony. Period.

Never owned any LameStation and never will.

I wish SEGA and Atari would get back in the console business and Godzilla these other companies out of the business.

I used to feel that way about the Switch.
I mean come on; stupid name that could be taken out of context in so many ways, and we just got through the Wii U era, what is that, some kind of Weezer reference? Should have also made it look like Buddy Holly.

Anyway then I discovered it's massive library and hundreds of remasters, and I played Breath of the Wild for the first time (that's a story in itself!) And I was blown away.

I like the idea of having a built-in emulator, I just don't like the fact it's limited to the games  they let you have, as opposed to the entire library for each console; if I had made it I would have had it so you could choose which games out of the entire console's selection that you wanted, and just make it so that it only downloads those games; then you don't have space being taken up by games you don't play, and would have more of a selection.

I digress; the Switch doesn't suck like I thought it would.

For years I wasn't big on the original Xbox, besides the handful of SEGA releases the rest of the library didn't appeal to me. At the time PS2 was knocking it out of the park. Ironically I went with 360 over PS3 for the next generation, enjoyed the re-makes of retro games and various bullet hell imports. Looking back PS3 also had many of the same releases, not sure if its exclusive games would be worth revisiting today?

Another system is Nintendo 64. I was a Nintendo fan prior owning NES, GB, SNES leading up to Ultra64 but with its delays and eventual release I wasn't sold on the direction they chose to pursue; SM64-esqe 'large 3D environment action-adventure' type games. I preferred arcade style/ports; run'n guns, 2D fighters, shoot'em ups, and RPGs. Besides Tomb Raider proved (to me at the time) that Sega Saturn & Playstation were capable of doing 3D action-adventure type games anyway. At the end of the day N64 wasn't for me.
