This is an Incredible hack of Pokemon TCG. I've played a lot of TCG Battler games, but the two things that make the Pokemon TCG the most interesting to me are: the composition of your deck really feels like it mimics the team compositions of NPC's in the mainline games (not necessarily comprised of a full team of 6 mons, but rather a smaller team of carefully picked mons to synergize) and the TCG feels much more comprised of deckbuilding skill rather than luck, as there is a large amount of hand and deck manipulation to pull the cards you need when you need them.

I grabbed this Rom after recently dusting off and replaying my original GBC cartridge. But this Rom is so much more in depth and flesh out with its expansive cardpool. The card balance is excellent; and if you've had experience with competitive play, you can really see the reasoning behind the card balancing and power levels. There are a lot of Stage 2 evolutions, and all of them are competitive. Just about all of the Pokemon now have Resistances, something sorely lacking in the original, meaning you are incentivized to try out new types of decks if a certain club is giving you trouble. And the endgame provides you with a simulation machine, which lets you chase as high of a win streak as you can earn.

The cards available are fantastic, and I wish they were even released as actual physical sets. The power level is perfect, before the power creep of ex- Mega- and GX- mons became available. I may even fire up photoshop and print out some proxies for fun! Truly the golden age of Pokemon TCG!
thanks for the images, glad you liked it too. please make sure to tell the original creator how much you liked it at the source.

Very cool hack. Yet another in the long list of things fans have to do because the companies that own pokemon won't do shit with it.

This hack was a joy to play through! The card base feels more balanced, especially some of the reworked trainer cards, and it's cool to have access to later cards like Copycat. I'd love to see some more ambitious hacks for the sequel to this game, there's more room for content in that version with two separate regions to explore. Thanks for sharing this on the repo for others to enjoy!

With this Romhack itself makes the base game feel much more up-to-date, the whole set of Pokémon trading cards from Gen 1 up to Gen 9 and thank you very much for sharing this game 👍🏻👍🏻.
