I watched it a lot twice, first while airing in Canal 5 (Mexico) and later in the 2010 in reruns, sadly it was the "Final" season in that channel since as soon as it ended the next chapter was Ash gettign Pikachu again (A.K.A the Raditz Syndrome)

It has an unbelievable amount of filler (and some episodes are just plain bad), but I think it was the only season in which they tried to avoid being a complete commercial for the product at hand, choosing instead to tell a fun story set in a fantastical world but somewhat grounded in reality, a la Digimon.

That said... Much like the aforementioned Digimon didn't properly peak until Tamers, I think the Orange Islands season was Pokemon at its finest: raw, imaginative, wild; unafraid to experiment, and just bittersweet enough to keep you from feeling too good about the journey.

it's so shonen! It's jam packed with drama, action, humor, suspense, romance, mystery, life lessons, i could go on and on.

I've only seen the first two seasons of Pokemon. I remember liking the first one more than the second one but the second one was cool because I was playing Pokemon silver at the time and it had all the new Pokemon from that game. I've only seen very small clips of newer Pokemon episodes and I don't like the art style.

I watched to 3-4th class 4 season and 4 movie (I was crying first film last scene)
