The reason I even knew about this game and found there were fan-translations for it is because there's an episode (currently untranslated #261) of Game Center CX where this game is the challenge. Could be helpful to play through the game since they dig into the crossword sub-game and pop quizzes.

so according to here,this obscured NES Famicom game "Pocket Zaurus" was based on an obscured toyline from Bandai which later served as the inspiration for the obscured short lived Franch-Animation Cartoon "DIplodos"
