Sony announced a major State of Play June 2 for which has even reserved cinemas. Seems to be 1 hour plus long.

Seems very interesting, but seriously doubt it will make for all the bullshit PlayStation has been coming up with this year alone.

Also doubt PlayStation won't put some political bullshit in their games somewhere...

Dark Cloud 3 Dark Cloud (nope it never happened)

Yeah in few years they now at 2000 dollars this current generation console.

I’m pumped to see the Wolverine footage they have to offer. I’m buying that game anyway but I wanna see more.

This is it, the Jak 4 announcement. I can feel it. ::star-war
To be real for a second though, I don't think there's anything PlayStation/Sony could do at this point to bring me back. Though if they started to re-print PS2 games on disc again I would absolutely buy them.

Is that what this forum has become? Are we just losers who need our safe spaces from anything interesting or confrontational? Are video games art or are they toys that are supposed to help us turn our brain off and not think? We gotta make up our minds and stop being children about this lol.

Anyways, this is a big make it or break it point. I assume if they're renting out theater space this is their E3 equivalent showing and that something huge like Intergalactic will finally get shown off. Really need that to not be the only thing though, since I'm not terribly interested in what Neil Druckmann is cooking up next even if I like Uncharted 4 and TLOU. Hoping for some first party curveballs even if they're still a ways off. So many games and studios have been cancelled/shut down recently that I need some sort of roadmap on what to expect. My PS5 has been collecting some dust recently and I sure would like something to get excited for on this thing.

Expecting Intergalactic to finally get another trailer and I'm expecting Wolverine to get some new stuff shown off. Fairgame$ might finally get a release date if it hasn't just been silently cancelled. Hopefully we get a couple new projects and I expect some other upcoming stuff like Kena 2 to get some time to shine. GTAVI isn't unlikely to me but I have no clue how they market their games so I don't really know.

Gimme something new and exciting from Japan and another big western IP whether it is new or legacy!

I think apart from Wolverine, there probably won't be anything else special. And I'm not thinking about GTA 6 anymore.

First of all thank you. Second of all, games are entertainment, and as such are meant to entertain. Not brownbeat anyone into submission. What has been happening in one way or another.

And it's funny to talk about safe spaces and being losers about it, when it's quite common to talk about safe spaces... for women. Men should have their spaces too.

Gaming, on another hand, is predominantly a space populated by men, and I'm very interested in not being manipulated into spending my money in stuff that will grate me.

Wolverine will be there, with a new presentation.

I don't think a single game Sony could pitch would interest me at this stage. Hell, I didn't even remember The Wolverine was something they had in the pipe.

Rumored PSP Classic I read about somewhere or absolute bust for me.

One of the most embarrass comments I've ever seen in my life. Hopefully you mentally graduate high school someday and maybe find a hobby better suited for your vein, childlike interests. You are either too lowbrow or too blind to recognize the theming and ideology of many of the greatest stories ever put into games that date back to the SNES. I get it though, you're a very scared and fragile person and you want to claim ownership of the toys you don't even make and aren't even smart enough to understand. The split between men and women in consumerbase is almost 50/50 btw c:

On the topic of embarassment, I'd be embarassed of posting a reply like yours. It's mostly personal insults.

And you're either unaware or desingenious if you don't acknowledge the difference in game content design from the games prior to 2016 and afterwards. It's not a coincidence this generation is considered a big disappointment about the games. A great example is Spiderman 2.

Without mobile it isn't. It's nowhere close to that. Have you seen this:

All data released from the gaming industry points to this.

And I'm not going to fling crap your way, because as lowbrow as I might be, I am polite and objective. Not offensive and biased.

I don't get paid enough for this shit. Drop the back and forth and move on.

Aside from Wolverine, and possibly more of Phantom Blade 0 and/or Onimusha: Way of the Sword, I can't even be excited much otherwise with the way Sony has been fucking up.

Ok, now that is done I can say it

It was awful

Like really bad. The only good thing was Ace combat 8

Disagree big time. The showing wasn't anywhere close to awful. You're not interested in the other games. The only close to a complaint I can give out is ILL feeling a little generic, but I have curiosity for that game too. The showing is an A for me. Also, we get 4 hack n' slash action games coming out within September and October. I am in!

how many of these games are actually exclusives though. Wolverine, Until Dawn 2 and GOW Laufey. Any others?
Tokon, Bancho The Chef, and Phantom Blade 0. I know PB0 will be on PC/Steam, but it's not coming to XBOX nor Switch 2. The devs made that clear from the start back in 2023. You got 6 games, plus that GoW side game that came out a few months ago. All of these consoles and PC are expensive now regardless. You're either in the ecosystem or not at this point. I hate dumb price rises too, but at least more games are actually coming out for PS5, and Switch 2 already has more on the way. XBOX still has nothing.

Tokon is also coming to Steam too, not that I'll be playing it lol. I saw everything I need to in that beta a few months ago. ::warcraft-skeleton
I'm still not impressed by any of the PS5 exclusives, I'm not against picking the system up but there has to be some exclusive experiences that I can't get elsewhere to justify it.

*edit
Bancho The Chef
Skimmed over this originally cause I didn't know what it was but yes this is coming to Steam too. This one looks kind of neat, maybe I'll play it.

That's new. First time I heard about the Steam release.

That's fine. I am. Yes, I got the PS5 mainly to run certain games better and for Japanese gaming, but if and when there is an exclusive I am interested in playing. I will play it. These have all impressed or interested me on some level.

Idk what show you watched, but it was not the one I did.

- GoW just laughable. Another hallway simulator.
- Marathon please play with us, new season
- Guerilla project (Concord: Primal)
- PS2 games...

I would even say that ILL was better looking, tho I admit Im kind of tired of 1st person survival horrors.

No it's not, and you can jump and do air combos. Also, nothing wrong with a linear action game, and you might as well mock any linear game, good, bad, opened, or not. That same logic "insult" you're using applies Greek era GoW, DMC, Ninja Gaiden II-4, Evil West, Vanquish, Bayonetta, Hi-Fi Rush, PS2 nimusha games, and Oneechanbara Z2 or Origins. Some have metroidvania aspects or some open ended level design, but at some point, you will go down the linear path or narrow pathway with the one direction you're supposed to go.

I did watch the same show, but I am just not cynical snob. I play what interests me like anyone else, but it's called I find joy in most things, or see why people would or will enjoy them.

Don't give a fuck about Marathon, and it's about the only exception. There are people enjoying it though, and I am not going to stomp their parade.

I would even say that ILL was better looking,
Not by much (with still pretty much a generic zombie looking fair), and even the non-exclusive games like the yokai hunting action game has a much more unique art style.

PS2 games...
I ain't complaining. More people get to experience the classics they missed out on, or don't have the means to play the OG hardware. Not everyone was born in the 80s, 90s, and some of the early 2000s.
Guerilla project (Concord: Primal)
I must have missed that one, but I save my judgements for when I actually see it.

I admit Im kind of tired of 1st person survival horrors.
Then don't play them. I only played RE8, and that was in 3rd person mode. Same for RE9 with Grace's sections. Silent Hill: Townfall is the only FPS horror that interests me highly at the moment.

The only thing that was worthwhile was wolverine. We've already seen several games before and new announcements were "meh" at most.
