Thirty years ago, the first PlayStation console made its way into our homes.

Today, to celebrate this special anniversary, we are pleased to announce an exclusive project created in collaboration with Panini, a historic collectibles brand: a limited collection of cards dedicated to the moments, titles, and consoles that have marked the history of PlayStation.

This special edition retraces three decades of innovation and passion through a timeless symbol of shared memory: the great Panini collections. Each card becomes a fragment of history, a tribute to the evolution of gaming and the emotions that the brand's iconic titles—from Gran Turismo to God of War to The Last of Us—have evoked in millions of players around the world.

Sounds pretty neat though I guess that will ultimately depend on the cards. I mean, the ones we can see in the promo image, barring the one with the PSX on it, have little to do with 30 years of history or groundbreaking innovation and evolution. I'd rather see an 'our games that changed the gaming landscape' collection rather than a 'we made some good games' collection. It's supposed to be a celebration of a monumental and unique achievement and a long and storied history after all.

I read "Panini" and thought Playstation was making themed sandwiches at first :loldog
I feel like a panini toaster that burns the playstation logo into sandwiches is a missed opportunity

same, I though we we're about to get something like the KFC Console. a PS5 with a little Panini oven attachment. :loldog

Panini is the major Italian publishing house specialized in trading cards and comics (through its Panini Comics division). Since 60s/70s, they've created cards for a wide variety of subjects: sports (especially soccer, for which they're the most important), many cartoons, celebrities, and a whole host of other things.
Aaahh, lots of good memories...
Glad they're doing this too.

On Mexico those albulms were exchanged in the schools like drugs, they still tend to sell them but thanks to Internet the concept is deader than Blockbuster
