PlayStation 6 is expected to be released in 2027

What the ps5 has an almost smaller library than the Virtual Boy(proportionally speaking), what the hell are the thinking and also little to nothing of that library is worth owning.
Think the only reason I got a PS4 was for like one specific game, but that's mainly the only game I played on it. Tried with some of the Online games but they weren't my thing. I hardly play it now, so there wasn't really a reason to buy a PS5.

King's is falling just like nokia
bad management, bad decision
maybe they're smoking weed when making decision to porting exclusive games to pc and other console

I'd be fine with this generation lasting longer since it took so long to start given all of the cross gen games. I also bought a PS5 Pro so I'm good for a while. It saddens me that this is the last console generation that'll have discs. I'll cling on as long as I can.
Early and late PS360 were like day and night.

Even late Wii games looked more impressive (comparing Wii Sport to DKC Returns).

Yep, compare Perfect Dark Zero to Halo 4 or Resistance: Fall of Man to Killzone 3. I still have a soft spot for a lot of earlier Xbox 360 and PS3 games, though. Halo 3, Crackdown, Kameo, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Heavenly Sword, etc.

It feels too soon if they're releasing it on 2027 imo. It feels like the PS5 isn't old enough to justify new hardware already.

Sony will need to figure out a way to smother the PS4 in its sleep if they want to push a PS6...And I'm pretty sure they've already tried, to no avail.

The PS5 has truly been a victim of the PS4's success; unless the PS6 was some kind of revolutionary gameplay experience that you could only get through its hardware (i.e., something related to the interface between player and game, not a performance upgrade), marginal gains in framerate or poly count is not going to sell new systems anymore. The big leaps in graphical fidelity between system generations appears to be over.

And even if a PS6 could manage a similar jump and have photo realistic worlds to scale with our own with millions of characters, would consumers even want that? Nintendo's successes with hardware in the last few generations have proved that innovation in ways to have fun is a major key to selling games and the consoles you need to play them with. (Of course, I guess having a good library and deals with established game franchises, as well as a software and licensing environment friendly to developers, can help, too.)

I have a feeling Sony might want to see what Xbox has up its sleeve for its next generation console, too, and what success/failure that console might see...

I don't see these companies doing anything other than running their brands into the ground or "Evolving" into something that is no longer recognisable as even kind of related to gaming.

10 to 1 we've got another video game crash coming our way in the next year or two.
