i loved this game. it was the last pokemon game i ever played all the way fully through to the end. i remember beating it on the bus ride back home from a field trip in senior year of high school

Dude, I played Pokemon Yellow and Red and then ignored Pokemon series until Pokemon Black series which was "wow" because they finally cared about Pokemon lore and deep story and then I skipped the series until Pokemon Ultra Moon and hella enjoyed it which didn't enjoy a Pokemon game since Yellow and then played Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and ever since then I abondoned the whole series. I guess damn Nintendon't manage to release interesting Pokemon games in every 10 years or so, then it means next dope Pokemon game will drop in like 5 years lol. Lastly Pokemon games turned into Metal Max 4 BS due to weird motobike ideas or something lol and having Microsoft Paint graphics so I lost my hope from the series further. Now enjoy paying like $100 for Nintendon't Pokemon games that's way worse than fan Pokemon games lol.

Gen 6 gets a lot of flack these days, but I loved it. It was also my introduction to the franchise alongside the XY anime.

Also, the soundtrack has always been one of my favorites.

To be fair, it was a Bug Type gym. Most Bug Type Pokemon aren't particularly good. Were you expecting to fight a Heracross within the first hour of the game?

The thing that mildly annoyed me about the fight was that Viola's Surskit was packing "Infestation."

I think the constant hand holding throughout the beginning and the fact i was like lvl 14-16 by then from all the constant battles leading up made the fight boring. I expected at least a lvl 14. The beginning of X and Y is a slog. Im aware games like Platinum had longer introductions but holly molly.

this was one of my favourite games of all time!!!
so nostalgic. it was my first 3ds game, i just finished secondary school (16yrs old) and got my first full-time job at a factory. bought this with my first paycheck.

i was really in awe with the sense of adventure and all the cute and cool pokemon it had. truly felt like i was a child again playing my first pokemon game.

i had the 3d turned off most of the time but it was really cool to me. the particle effects in 3d during the elite 4 fight was ... elite XD

i hope you have as much fun with it as i had, more than 12 years ago now. <3
