Playing Megaman Legends for the first time any tips?

Disappointment....

joking aside, its kinda janky, and well the dubbing is... just as janky. but its a charming fun game
<The Misadventures of Tron Bonne is good to btw, and set in the same universe>

Yeah, just sit back, relax and enjoy the ride. It's a terrific game! I wish I could play it again for the first time, I genuinely envy you.

It's pretty good, but the camera is terribly junky, an artifact of pre chiefly analog camera control days.

The sequel expands on everything gameplay wise and it's also neat.

Plot wise...
I hope you love unresolved cliffhangers

Kick the vending machine a lot.

Expect a fun, but heavily flawed game.

It's incredibly charming, and the characters are great... but the controls are so bad that the freaking Nintendo 64 version is actually the superior option.

Ehehehe XD

Expect to be depressed for years because MML3 will never happen, because Crapcom can do everything but make a new Mega Man game... That is good. Seriously, Mega Man 11 sucks and nobody can change my mind.

there is a minor good/evil alignment system in the game. if you kick enough vending machines and other things you can find on this wiki page, mega man's armor will change shade. there doesn't seem to be any major spoilers for the story and just a couple of minor events are mentioned.
but if you don't want to check it out, doing most of the story stuff will make you a good guy, kick the vending machines and kick the can into some of the shops to become evil.

What should I expect?
Two things that made a massive difference for me

first:
Head I to options and set the controls so left and right are used to turn, not strafe. Just feels more natural to me

And second:
Master the quick turn. Press circle, then immediately a direction and the camera quick snaps that direction. It's like the quick turn in resident evil, but 8 directional
The only issue is quick turning left and right (and diagonal) requires the strafe buttons, not the turn buttons. So after changing the controls that could be a bit to adapt to.
But that quick turn really take the edge off those tank controls. It's a real god send

Other than those:
In dungeons, ALWAYS check holes in walls. There's almost always zeni (money) in them.
Use the van for fast travel
Don't sell ANYTHING unless you're sure you don't want, need it to make something
Most early bosses and enemies can be beaten by running around them in a big circle and shooting them

Mega man legends is a truly great game. I love it.

Come to think of it..
I ddon't actually recall of quick turn is 4 or 8 directions. But its amazing anyway
