Plan on getting Pokémon Legends Z-A and playing alongside Digimon Time Stranger. Thoughts?

So, given how recently there has been a lot of discussion in regards to the quality difference between the latest Digimon Game that was released last week, and the latest Pokémon game set to be released next week, I thought I would play both simultaneously for two reasons. The first one, this is going to probably be the last Pokémon game I'm ever going to buy if the next mainline game is going to only be on the Switch 2, and I refuse to waste 450 dollars for that console. The second is given my laptop doesn't hit the recommended specs (FYI, Laptop is a Lenovo Ideapad L340-15api) I want to see if, even under these conditions that Time Stranger will be a better experience than Legends Z-A with a Standard Nintendo Switch.

I mean, I hope you enjoy them either way! I'm not keen on Z-A, after some recent announcements about the game. It could be really fun, but my enthusiasm for it is a bit drained ::sailor-embarrassed

Way more interested in Time Stranger, personally::peacemario

I tried something similiar with Sw/Sh, Monster Sanctuary and I wanna say Coromon a while back. For me the results were pretty clear and it freed me from the urge to ever return to the series.

That said, I absolutely do hope you enjoy both games and have a good time comparing the two!
I think there's merit in assessing a genre by using its most pivotal series as a point of comparison.

I stopped playing Pokemon on GBA. My brain wasn't (will never be) ready for 2 screens, so I skipped so many games I lost interest in them, with the help of GameFreaks of course, since all of them are the same over and over.

So my thought is, just skip Pokemon and focus on Digimon :)

When the ds was released, I thought it was one of the most cool thing being able to play on two screens AND being able to touch one of them to make things happen in the game.

We enjoyed Pokemon Sun a lot, the internet was free on 3ds (I mean no paid subscriptions) so we were able to get all the Pokemons by trade. On the Switch, since my Dad likes turn-based battles and pokemon games, we've bought all the titles, of course one for each couple of games, but we skipped the spin-offs, the dungeons ones and arceus. Anyway, I showed him the trailer for z/a and he said "no thanks" lol (also, it seems it's real time and he's not really good with that and with turning camera around).

If you will ever decide to try the two screens, I hope you will enjoy ALL THE AWESOME games on that console, aside from pokemon!

To the topic creator, I wish you all the best enjoyment with both of games!

I also really like the DS/3DS. The touch screen didn't always feel important, but it was an awesome way to play Inazuma Eleven. I do miss online functionality being free::sadkirby
