If the Pit-Fighter port of the Mega Drive is the best version of the game and that improves a lot with respect to the arcade version except for the graphics although the field of view was a notable improvement, then with the Upgrade version it is fairer in the learning curve especially in the possibility of filling all your 14 life units after winning a battle/match and the possibility of saving the scores higher according to your own initials although with a hard restart or if the checksum fails the high score is restored by default Without your initials But that's normal due to a limitation of the patch But these additions make the game a little better.

While it's not a fantastic game by any means, it is the better of the home ports, and this hack objectively improves it.

i absolutely get why this game gets dumped on, but i unironically love it - spent a whole summer with this & few others with some friends on the block in the day

wish hit detection/etc could somehow be improved, but ill take what i can get, haha
