The license to play the game is now called Virtual Game Card.

Step-by-step how to lend games to your friends.

I sure hope not, it's a neat thing to have if you want to play idk multiplayer with another person but they don't have the game. I won't be buying the switch 2 if they do remove physical games. I'll fully fall into the pirate life and sale the seven seas for the rest of my existence.

More like it's a way to actually play the games you bought digitally to the newer console as if it was physical. This is a GOOD thing, I'd say.

Nintendo would normally just give you a skill issue then close the shop like 3DS and Wii U. It's a W.

Most people in this people didn't even bother to watch the video.

It sounds like way to provide some of the benefits that you get from a physical game for digital games, but with strict limitations. For example, being able to lend it to family, (but not friends), only one game at a time instead of as many as you want. Also, you can only lend it to them for two weeks.
A middle ground between the rights/benefits you have with a physical game and the tight limitations that are on current digital games.

Im confuse, isn't this what people were doing with sharing each other accounts? Like on the PS3 and on the PS4? What makes this any different beside you can only play it for 14 days?

Physical media is on the way of the Dodo for quite sometime now but this virtual game cards do not contribute in any way shape or form.

This is a way to lend games you only have digital, something that was not previously possible or really combersome.

You could log on someone else's account but it would lock that person of their account till you logged off since 2 people can't log simultaneously.

Thing is: will you still have access to the games you lend while the other person has/is playing the game?

Let's say I own Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee and lend digitaly to a friend. Will it be possibile to both of us to play simultaneously so we can battle eachother?

For what I understood is like the steam family sharing but instead of only one person playing a shared game at a time, you lend the games to someone in your family group for two weeks like if you borrowed them the physical cartridge

I know people doesn't like nintendo for whatever reason but it seems like people loves to exaggerate whatever nintendo does (especially the bad things) and right now people is just bitching and whining for the sake of it and pretending that nintendo will singlehandedly kill the physical format with their version of family sharing

I need actual proofs of that anyway. They don't show Switch 2 cartridges because there's a Switch 2 Direct right next.
