This looks like one I can get behind, I don't normally give much consideration to Pokemon hacks/fangames. Games like this make me think I should change that sentiment.

I don't understand how copyright works. Recently, there was talk on the forum about a Mario fangame and the author on his YouTube channel claimed that they wouldn't be sued and that they were tired of that lawsuit joke

They cancelled around the time N sued Pocketpair because they were afraid they were next since N went so hard on a different IP vs they who were making a fangame. I also heard they were accepting donations but I am unsure if that's true. If it is, I can see why they were scared.

want to make clarification, this project did not get dmcaed it was cancelled by the team for fear of a dmca because other projects got dmcaed at the time

It is a shame that this Pokémon fangame was canceled due to legal problems with the Big N in putting obstacles and also because of the lack of freedoms in making a fangame by the community because this Pokémon Phoenix Rising game had potential and felt like a well-made Pokémon game but for what was mentioned the Big N had to be canceled .

Is this a pokemon essentials game? Cause if it is, it would be playable on android with JoiPlay for android (a multi rpg maker games emulator, available on patreon)

Just tested it. The game seems to be one, but joiplay doesn't recognize it as a supported game type
