Yes, and you can find like-minded NPCs who hangs around there and can't leave, one of your party member does as well.

Megami Ibunroku Persona not only has one of the best soundtracks in the Megaten series but one of the best soundtracks in the history of video games, the music has a simply insane atmosphere and fits perfectly with the game, Hidehito Aoki is simply a genius and it's a tragedy that he died so young. I'm very upset that Meguro decided to make a new soundtrack for the PSP Remaster that simply doesn't fit with the original game and is only there to appeal to people who like Persona 3 and 4. At least now there's a Mod to restore the brilliant soundtrack from the original version to the PSP remaster, making it the definitive version.

Understandably Atlus is riding off Persona 3's success when they release P1, there are also the older video cutscene too in the gallery, can't bring it in-game sadly. In P2 though, you can choose which soundtrack you wanna play with from the options menu.

Apart from that, I really like the Persona 2 duology and Persona 3. I think they're very good games, even if they do have their flaws. However, I don't like Persona 4 and especially Persona 5.

I rarely had a first impression this great (P5R) for a franchise. It (& SMT) made me realize the sheer importance of sound design & OSTs; I never approached reviewing games the same ever since. It gave me a more positive outlook on life when things weren't going for the best. Demon building was infinitely more fun to me than whatever build mechanics final fantasy got. I can go on, but yall aint ready to hear me out on my fav character..

I keep bouncing between hating and liking P5, its like this weird love hate thing I have. For every couple of positives I can name, there's always an equal negative. Its really the only game for me in the entire series where I honestly can't decide if it's like an amazing game or a whatever kind of game.
I should replay 2 IS though, its been a while...

Persona 4 is one of my all time favorite Persona games of all time. (despite never finishing it)

I got into it because one of the very few reviewers I watched at the time(who typically hated JRPGs) was even like, wow Persona 5 is great.

So I downloaded and played 3 and 4 to see if I would like the series. And holy shit I had a blast.

I think I have almost 300 hours in Persona 5 and Royal combined. I found these games to be the perfect melding of visual novel and JRPG, and the combat is so fluid(also turn based make brain go brrrrr).

As I'm getting older, I'm finding it harder to get into these games. I got SMTV Vengeance and I don't even think I'm halfway through.

I unfortunately could never get into the games that have the calendar system (I hate time management) but I do like the first three games a lot, they have that megaten quality that makes you feel like you're stepping into a hidden part of society, mainly due to the Devil Summoner connection they have.
The Eternal Punishment cast might be my favorite main characters in the series, even outside Persona and counting other spin-offs.
The P1 soundtrack already has been given its due praise, so I'll share some songs from the P2 duology I listen to often.
