Same! For a franchise called Fursona there was a distinct lack of Furry Conventions and yiffing, massive disappointment.

Also, its a harem game yet no one clowns on it like they do harem anime---it treats its female characters like accessories yet there are so many female fans who ignore that (why arent you guys mad? stop giving atlus money!!); they make sure you can date your teacher in every game but will still add random, unnessecary, homophobic/racist/mysoginistic scenes/instances, yet no one has a problem with that. i just dont get it---its harem shit, it should not be this popular.

Being serious for a bit:

I've seen a whole bunch of harem anime and I can confirm that no it's not, not even close. That's more like an optional temporary route that amounts to practically nothing. Compare that to something like Date a Live and you'll see disparities QUICK

Where did you get "it treats its female characters like accessories" because this is the first I've ever heard of that. Closest is arguably Ann who's sexualised to the max in battles but that's a single character in one out of 5 games, and even then I still don't fully get the argument because Ann has an actual personality and is quite independent. If you wanted to reach then maaaaaybe Persona 4's murders but like

The only thing I get is the first one because people often point to the crossdressing scene in 4 and the beach guys in 5 but I need clarity on the others because the closest I've seen to the middle is the botched Persona 1 localisation and the latter being the point I made above

Played 1-5 and had a "like"/hate relationship with all of them. They have some unique/interesting story ideas sometimes (usually nonsensical though), have fucking awesome soundtracks, but overall it just pisses me off how popular the series is with all its flaws. The majority of their characters are just copy-pasted every game; game mechanics are boring, don't take any interesting turns and get less creative every installment (RIP P2 silly interactions). You are clearly meant to play the game in a certain way and it will punish you if you don't follow that, its frustrating. The harem is the best part also you can't date your teacher in every game, only in Persona 5, which now makes me think you haven't actually played all these games.

I personally think Unicorn Overlord is ten times the game of any Persona title.
