This is a Japanese freeware RPG created with RPG Maker Dante 98 II. The title "Pert-em-Hru" refers to the Egyptian Book of the Dead. The game was produced by two people, with Yaotani responsible for most of the development, and production took a year and a half to complete. The game was awarded the Platinum Prize in the ASCII-held monthly contest "Internet Contest Park". It's the only game to have received the prize during the existence of the contest. Interesting art style, and I was gonna say kinda odd they were still making PC-98 games in 1998 however:

"The NEC PC-9800 series, which debuted October of 1982 in Japan, was officially discontinued in 2003, marking the end of a 20-year run that dominated the Japanese personal computer market"

One of the earliest examples of what you could do with RPG Maker besides RPGs, first being Corpse Party, Peret em Heru, Gu-L and both Nehan: Kanzenban/Nirvana and it's sequel Nehan 2: DarknessFantasy. Probably even more than those mentioned five, but it's the ones I'm aware of due to the Youtuber Marsh, particularly Gu-L and Nehan.
