A hack of Mega Bomberman that removes the single player only adventure mode and focuses completely on multiplayer (both vs CPU and other humans), besides making the rules the same as the PC Engine version.

But why would anyone want this though? The powerups in multiplayer bomberman are like half the fun.

I saw 'PCE' and for a naive moment hoped it was a graphics hack to make it look as good as the PCE version of Bomberman '94.

An understandable confusion, but I just copy the hack names as is.

They share graphics for the most part. Mega Bomberman is a somewhat faithful port of the Bomberman '93.

What I don't understand is why they had to remove the Single Player mode.

It's all well and good based on the local multiplayer (vs. CPU or some Player) of the Bomberman '94.
