PC-98 Brandish Opening

It is amazing what the PC-98 pixel artists and programmers were able to achieve on such limited hardware. The games themselves are a mixed bag, but the visuals are almost always top notch.

TBH what is actually the reason for what prevents people from developing a decent video game is lack of vision, not technological limitation.

yeah tbf games from 90s had always something that stood out despite their flaws.

Yep. Despite cruel technological limitation the methods they used to develop video games + mixing their vision with visual art via pixel art made these video games "in another level".

For example this game may not be the best looking game but I immensely admire the person/people who could manage to make the game have the 3D sense on NES:

My guy woke up one day and decided this game should have a functioning mirror and developers today does anything to avoid mirror reflection and then the "mirrors" they implement looks like shit lol:

My guy developed a game on NES as if they came from future lol:

Crysis of NES, it could barely run it because the graphics was too much for the poor NES. Even Nintendo had no idea NES could handle it!!1 lol:

Now we have video games that they just use the ease of automatic shading of lightness and darkness and call it a day by producing a walking simulator game they call "Death Stranding". Realistic graphics but it's dull to look at. No soul or characteristic. Games are rubbish. All the ease of technology and budget wasted on rubbish games now lol.

I kinda miss Falcom from that era.

Also, I'm playing the PSP port, very fun game. I heard that the other 2 sequels for the PC-98 are also great. Have anybody played them?
