Over-hated Games

There's no such thing as a bad Kirby game. There's only bad, wicked people who want to hate kirby, because they worship evil and despise all that is good.

I've been saying this for over a decade, I've never played a bad Kirby game, disappointing? Maybe (Star Allies was kinda disappointing imo) but not a single bad game imo, not even the spin offs, talk about a good track record.

Castlevania Circle of the Moon

I admit the game has many flaws, such as ortopedic character that needs a relic to FRIGGIN RUN, DDS system being obtuse and the cards being a bitch to find even with a guide and difficulty being too high

Despite that the game is still pretty good, getting more of a pass due to being experimental and being the next big Castlevania after SOTN, even when not patched to fix it the game is far more approachable than people think,is just rough around the edges

Any other Devil May Cry 2 apologists out there? The tone was different to 1, but It's no worse playing in my opinion. I also really appreeciated there being a female main character to play (requiring a playthrough to unlock the next difficulty level, even!) Except for 3 and four, I think Devil may cry got better each entry, dMc -Devil May Cry- included. That was a fabulous game to play.

I play these two without shame, I love playing these two so much for some reason.

Doom 3 is probably a over hated game the newer version is pretty good but it did stray away from the typical Doom formula and this is why it probably got a lot of hate I think.

The same with the Devil May cry game a new character was all it needed to be hated by many the actual game or gameplay was not important for most at that point but many years later people came to appreciate it a litte bit more.
I liked Doom 3, but was annoyed by the constant switching back and forth between your gun and flashlight. When I installed the duct tape mod, the game was a lot more fun.

Yeah, Dark souls 2, it is my personal favorite in the series because it actually feels new, this game

like the animations are new, sound effects and all, also it feels like an adventure unlike dark souls 1 , i like ds1 but, I just like this game alot more, the music in this game is the best, yeah ds 3 has the crown for the best dark souls music but ds 2's music is so underrated some hates are justified while most just hate for the sake of hating, like people don't like ADP, I actually like it after leveling it up you actually can your character become faster and stuff, the hit box is not that bad, you just need have good timing, i played ds 2 a lot i never saw a bad hitbox like those on the internet though they are fun to watch, I like the world, the music, yeah sometimes it feels unfair , even it has small details like your character becomes tired after using stamina which I like alot, going in combat stance when locking in enemies, overall I just love this game alot, I like all souls game but this one is my favorite, is it the best in the series? No that would be 3, but it is my favorite, this game made me not listen to people on the internet or look at reviews and actually try the game myself. And yeah, I hope I didn't hurt anyone, I just stated my opinion.
Good day/night to everyone.

Zelda II the Adventure of Link, Phantasy Star III and Mass Effect Andromeda are all overhated in my opinion. In Zelda II the difficulty is bullshit but if it wasn't for that it would be solid, I have no idea why people hated Phantasy Star III I actually thought it was pretty cool how it goes multiple generations, and Mass Effect Andromeda is no where close to being as good as the original trilogy but I didn't think it was bad like the majority of the population does.

I can never call DS2 actually bad, but it does has plenty of questionable decisions: early shields all cannot block fully physical damage, ds1 taught you that the best way to take care of enemies is to go one by one because they can very easily gank you, yet DS2 seems to really want to force you into encounters against multiple opponents constantly, and trying to fix and balance matchmaking is a good idea, but soul memory only makes things WORSE, and I don't know how the devs didn't realize that they are making it so higher skill players are also getting a level advantage during matchmaking, and it could have been fixed so easily! All they had to do is make soul memory count "used" (for level up or for buying) souls instead of collected souls.

Yet despite all that is NOT a bad game. It has nice variety, it feels different from DS1, a new world to explore, to experiment with. And it's still core Dark Souls gameplay. It's a gameplay that is relatively simple, yet all the imitator failures that felt incredibly stiff show how it's not that easy to do properly.

dMc is by far the most fun game in the series! It is the only Devil May Cry I have any interest in ever going back to agian.
You're a real one. We understand when noone else does.

Yeah agreed, the shield thing was weird for me too, you find a shield later in the game I think it has a flower symbol on it, I remember I only use that becasue it was the only one that actually block physical damage fully.

I love DmC devil may cry, the gameplay is just amazing, I replay it every once in a while.

live by the junction die by the junction...

Honestly, if I could save junction sets or rejunction mid battle I would have no complaints. The worst part about junctioning is how they expext you to just Know what certain enemies/bosses are weak to or else you're stuck doing no damage and taking a ton.
Honestly that's the most strange complaint i seen so far about FF8 , i don't know what sort of elemental attacks you were junctioning but GFs are a solid way of dealing damage unless you want to make it hard on yourself and not use GFs.

I think the biggest problem people had with the game was that they played it at a young age when reading a 3-minute tutorial was boring for those who wanted to jump straight into the action.

Unlike FFVII's Materia system, Junction was not very self-explanatory 4 dummies.

Am i supposed to be offended or not? I finished the game at level 70~75 was that a bad idea ::bonzistares , honestly the junction system isn't that complicated and there is literally automated junction functions that do everything for you i automated most junctions and it was alright , people are just not as patient or willing to learn the game provides you with everything about what each magic junction does and lore too it's all there you just need to look for it and that means you want to learn and are interested in FF8.

Andromeda was not a bad game at all, just not as good as ME 2 or 3. Clearly rushed, but didn't deserve the hate it got.

I'm one of those people who hated Andromeda. I thought ME3 got more hate than it should've because of the original ending, however I found Andromeda to be pretty piss poor. I was initially excited that it was getting more expansive environments like the first game, but the environments just weren't fun to traverse. I've tried to get into Andromeda a few times, hoping that I eventually could and the disappointment that I felt at launch would go away, but it never did. Also, the two playable characters were terrible compared to Shep and Fem Shep.
