I noticed this on GBAtemp and I liked it. It minimizes user info and you can show it by clicking the expand arrow.
It cuts down on the amount of wasted space and reduces the amount of scrolling needed. It's especially noticeable when someone with lots of user info types a single line.

It would look something like this:
before.png
after.png

If that's not possible then a user option to remove it would work too. Similar to how the XenForo forum handles it.
All user information that's found in the postbit can already be found by hovering over a user (except "Level up in").

That looks really good, but I don't think I'll install another extension to use for just one site.
Seeing your post gave me the idea to use ublock origin though. I added these two lines:
Code:
retrogametalk.com##dl.pairs--justified.pairs
retrogametalk.com##.message-userExtras

The first line removes user info.
The second line removes social media icons.

I realized the ublock origin lines I posted above also remove the Online Statistics and Forum Statistics at the bottom of the page as a side effect. Just FYI.

retrogametalk.com##dl.pairs--justified.pairs isn't needed and was responsible for the other important text that disappeared.
Works pretty good now.

As someone who turns off all the forum flair like sigs and all that so I can read the actual posts and then make bad replies to them, I like this idea.
TIL we can block sigs in settings. Is that new? I've been using a greasemonkey script to do it for months. :/ Should be up top in the 'Disable' section tbh.

Yeah, not really worth adding another extension just for that. I already use a few other scripts, so it works for me. Bet more people are on uBlock anyway, so nice of you to share it!
