While we're on the subject, Japanese character design has a serious lack of ass.

This is something that always gets to me. In a country where the majority of women are in the A-C range, so many anime girls have giant oppai, and yet so few have much done for ass. Sometimes they don't even work on definition. Yes, I get that most of the ass around them is like that, but a lot of these artists watch po— biology videos, and there's some of them there if you pick the right fetish. Or they could look at women from other countries and consider the variety of shapes and sizes that aren't used in anime.

Apparently our brain are wired to prefer women with a better ability to carry and nurture offsprings (thus the bigger chest and waist) but this doesn't mean someone less endowed isn't appealing.

I've never bought this idea. A woman's boobs will just grow bigger to accommodate the need after pregnancy regardless of size. And reproduction has historical happened much more in countries with small averages than ones with bigger averages. Really, it's more of a cultural idea that has been spread enough to make it a norm in many countries.

• Fairies/pixies: They small, so they small. Make them too big and you end up with boobs with wings. I'm interested in seeing a tiny woman, not a pervy version of a Zelda enemy.
• Yandere: Huge. It's probably less painful to be smothered to death than stabbed to death, and more enjoyable depending on the murder weapon.
• Dandere: The quiet girl gets big boobs often, but this is a great opportunity for small boob embarrassment. This can be resolved eventually when she learns how much others love small ones.
• Clumsy girl: Huge. She needs airbags to save her sorry ass (on that note, same for ass). Also allows others to happily forgive her for falling/running into them.
• Kuudere: This could go in any direction. Small-to-medium seems best, though huge could work in comedic worlds.

There's the seemingly clumsy girl with big chest, then the cynic girl with a small one, then the tomboy with a big one who lives in conflict between being a tomboy and being more girly (usually I don't like this type, but it's well executed here)

Btw I recommend watching it, it has a amazing cast of characters and good slow burn romance that actually go somewhere.
