Anybody know why I'm getting this particular error when trying to reply to profile posts? Was replying normally to stuff until a 3000 second timer kicked in.
Took a quick break then everything seemed fine, but then it happened again. Oof!

how come you got the amount of time displayed as minutes and seconds? i just get a long string of "seconds until cooldown ends" numbers. i have to do maff to figure out the amount of time.

Maybe it's a preemptive thing to stop bots from spamming threads, a lot of forums end up having that problem eventually

Yeah, I'm kinda thinking it's either that, or somebody got annoyed from others spamming profile posts.

Yeah it seems to be an anti-spam measure, but it's clearly a mite....overtuned.

(Generally, none of these Xenforo add-ins seem to work "out of the box". Shame, that).

you could also do like lythero and play the entirety of sonic adventure 2 between posts.

So, profile posts were never meant to be spammable. The only reason they were is because Xenforo doesn't have flood rate limits for it. So we commissioned it. Initially it didn't work properly. But now it's been fixed.

The limit for new profile threads is 1 hour PER PROFILE.
This way your profile post doesn't get buried below a single user spamming them.

Commenting on profile posts is unlimited.
It should display in minutes and seconds for everyone, no math required.

Here's an idea:
- Make a post.
- Do a Cannonball Run-style race from the state of Maine allllll the way to San Diego and then back to Maine.
- check if the cooldown timer is done.
