hi there ppl, i make this thread to create a space for all of us to post/share about the online game we play or to invite to them, be mmorpg, mh likes (mh, g.e) or soulsborne games, even mobile!
right now im playing fgo (truly gacha hell) mh:world, and neverwinter nights (the classic old but gold rpg)

The only thing I go online for nowadays is Fightcade lol. But I'd like to get into a private-server MMO like PSO or Ragnarok Online.

Used to play TF 2, but some troll Started mass kick people, causing a lot of people to get permasilenced, this being a team game was a total bummer, but nowadays y found better PVP games in Steam, so...

Anyone for some Omega Strikers and Bloons?

world of war craft and cs always been the only thing i enjoy playing online

My experience with PVP was always as follows:
1. Get coerced into downloading it and login in.
2. Playing the tutorial and having a great time.
3. Playing the first match and absolutely sucking.
4. Losing interest.
5. After a while collecting digital dust, uninstalling the game.

Other online genres have different third points. A lot of them are grindy or lacking story, etc., but the others are always the same. The Crew 1 was the only online game I ever consistently played and I hardly ever saw other players. Then there's the problem of me being on a Linux machine and a lot of online games having anti-cheat systems that are Windows exclusive. Meaning my options are somewhat limited, though it became better with the rise of the Steamdeck.

My grip with online games now is that everything is an item shop or battlepass the only online game I play is FFXIV it’s fun but sometimes I don’t have time to play. Plus having no one to play online games with is boring sometimes so I mostly play single players game

Ur living my dream man I can’t fully commit to Linux just yet I’ve been messing around with it in a VM what distro do you use for your game and daily use?

First I have to find people to play it with. But yes, those games always looked like a lot of fun.

I use Arch with Hyprland as my main compositor, but I've been trying out Niri and always have i3 as a backup. Games are almost always run through Lutris and it mostly works perfectly fine that way. The only real issues I have stem from my Nvidia card and the absolute horrid support it has. Hyprland also went independent not to long ago with their own implementation of wayland and that definitely did not help.

Honestly, I don't know if I could go back to Windows. My setup is streamlined to the T and customized to no end. Switching to Linux will improve your life if you're willing to put in the effort and don't mind a few bumps along the way.

Tibia was amazing to me...
sadly, never ever reached level 27 (just some exp away, practicing with the shield in the cyclops' mountain, then died).
tried many times...

runescape felt a new horizon to me... however, the grinding was...
let's just say, I reached level 75 in mining... only to thinking myself: "why am I doing this in first place?", deleted my account, after years of determination.

albion online (thanks to the invading ad)... installed it, began to play it. in the moment that first npc began to speak to me...
crashed. can't play anymore ?

tried to play ragnarok online, wanted to play, but yeah...
wow, never played it. some mmo games here and there...
then, castle age ?
and so on... I feel sometimes a little unlucky with online gaming.
pretty much this is my resume.

Takes me back to late middleschool to early highschool, waiting impatiently to get home to play the JoJo fighting game on there. I sucked but it was so much fun with friends

booooooy Ragnarok online was my crack in my early teens, i never truly grasped all the game mechanics , but that never stoped me, all the days spent on prontera just chatting or in payon dungeon with my thief griefing other players with bats and hide, the memories

Yeah RO was awesome for just hanging out as a kid. It was a pretty mysterious game, they didn't hold your hand much.

i tried some RP servers but i life took me away from them, now im trying to comeback but i dont know where to go, nevertheless i still love that game with all my heart
I was just curious because I'm currently planning on trying out some of the public RP servers, or at least I will once I force myself through Alien: Isolation. >.>

Played a lot of them, reaching 160 online minigames or so...
even more, I have a thread with some few of them, to download (and play offline),
if you are interested, of course.
