the question is in the title, if you aren't a 100% emulators retrogamer, what's the real oldest system are you still using today to retroplay?

The Nintendo Entertainment System.
8 Bit Nintendo GIF

i sometimes consider using my psp over an emulator, but it is a very old device and who knows how much life it could have left. i have a 2000 series.

I play my decades-old fake NES and fake Atari 2600 from time to time. If fakes don't count I have da real deal Sega Genesis still kicking to this day. And I also have a PS2 but I'm stretching it as an "old console" now (it was like yesterday it released!!!) lol.

I still have a working HP Mini 210 running antiX that I can use to emulate a couple of NES/GB games. Not the oldest machine, but the most unconventional thing I got prolly...

Edit: oh, you didn't mean emulation... my bad :p

i started using the 360 a lot and still use my psp from when i was in high school
oldest though?? probably dreamcast.

I use my mini consoles to emulate most retro games, but the oldest console I play on actual hardware is the N64.

Dreamcast. The rest of my consoles were stolen during a move. Luckily I still have all my games for them though.

I still play my physical Genesis console every so often (with an Everdrive X3 cart plopped squarely in the slot). Amazing how the simple fun the system is still appealing to me after all these years. Definitely colored my tastes in gaming

N64 & Dreamcast for me, that's the limit as far as 'oldest' goes, played but on rare occassions to be honest.
I used to also have a greenish/ turquoise Gameboy Color which I do not have anymore, but played that obsessively, i'd love to pre-purchase someday just to have.
In this house it's always 90's/2000's gaming as far as I'm concerned.

oldest I have is a PS2 but its not hooked up.
oldest I play is Switch. I emulate everything retro.

Sometimes I wish I still had my old NES or SNES. But emulation is so good I can't justify buying them.

My DSi is the oldest one I properly use with any regularity, but I like to whip out my GBASP sometimes when i want to fidget with the buttons for a little bit before putting it back on my shelf (the only games I have for it are in Japanese that I can't read).

There's a model 1 Genesis here in the house, but I haven't used it in ages. I think the last thing I physically played here was a Neo Geo Pocket Color, a few months ago.

...If we count MicroComputers then it's the Commodore 64 without a doubt lol
i still have many retrosystems, C64 included, but emulation is keeping me distant from the real thing

this last year nothing older than Amiga on my side, some PS1 and Dreamcast

Oldest machine I have is my sega megadrive 2, and some games for it. I never play it though as its the PAL machine and PAL games and they're much slower than their NTSC counterpart.

I also have my dreamcast but I don't play things on that anymore as the games don't look great on modern TV's without too much fiddling.

Oldest thing I used for years was my psp, upgraded that to a vita, now the oldest thing is use is my ps3 and I really don't use that much anymore. My lpatop, ps5, modded vita or modded 2ds is what I use these days.

Disappointing answer probably, but it's my Wii, which I use to emulate a few things at the moment. I also have a PS2 which i fire up from time to time, and I have a vague ambition to FreeMcBoot it.
