not that i am purporting myself to having been above some simping, but rather that idk, ig cos i'm an old ass bitch, i never played games for those purposes. I think this will be very very different for younger generations who have been raised amongst these kinds of medias.

For reference, I was playing Doom and Mortal Kombat as a child, and then Morrowind and early xbox era. I suppose if I had a demo for like BMX XXX i may have done the dirty to such. But my point is that I've never simped for a video game character, though again as I'm saying it's not like I'm above such simping. I simped for Leeloo in The Fifth Element. I couldn't really do the same to the 28 polygons of the her model in the Fifth Element ps1 game.

Am I allowed to post husbandos cause the first character I remember loving was Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy 7. I had never really seen a character that looked like him up to that point and I thought his snarky, detached attitude was so badass. Seeing him go from pretending to not really care to being such an empathetic character was so cool, especially since it took me months to beat the game as a kid. It really felt like I was witnessing him grow over such a long stretch of time.

My love for him has only grown stronger as I've been able to appreciate the nuances of the character writing and relate to his mental health struggles more and more. It may be a basic bitch answer, but most people's first crush end up being kinda basic lol
