We all have our own quirks, and when it comes to gaming it is no exception, they not only not affect the game, but at times they make it harder, but you still play a game a certain way out of it fitting your own way to play, share yours

Crash 2 and 3 has a special gem behind a Not-really-that-hard side route that needs you to have all the Color Gems, when i replay the games, i enjoy to save it for last thing for the 100%, since the routes aren't as hard as the game they feel less like challenges and more like reaching Route 27

I turn off tutorials even if I have never played the game before. Hardest difficulty or one below the highest, no user interface if possible.

Hopefully this keeps the Alzheimer away.

Now that I'm old and apparently don't have the reflexes I did back in 1983 I have to play everything on easy so I even stand a chance.

I like getting lost in big platformer levels and collecting as much coins or their equivalents as possible. That's one of the reasons I suck at Sonic games

Naval Piranha from Yoshi's Island is a great example of a boss that can be defeated in a very specific way.

I usually grind leveling up as soon as I start the game + always grind to have best gears and all, and then I always play safe by preserving my health and health items, go for "take no damage as much as I can" and then if I realize I will be beaten I take risks to find better weaknesses of the boss to try stuff as much as I can before I die. Sometimes I expect to die but I somehow survive by wasting my party and items lol.

Beating the first encounter with Golbez using Rydia's Ice Dragon Summon

Think about it, you have the asshole that indirectly ruined your life, killing your mom and burning your village, then he indirectly splits you from your parental figure (Who unwillingly did the village burning) and now wants to kill your friends, you now have more power than when you were a mere child, and now can take on the responsible of our pain, now is time to beat him while simbolically avenging your mother, gentlemen, the summon gloves has come out

My friends and I play a lot of fighting games and whenever we try a new one I always stay away from system mechanics: like Street Fighter 6's drive system or GBFVR's spot dodging and other mechanic I don't even remember the name of.

I have a lot of quirks, some of it is just OCD type stuff.

I always try to enter the boss room in a cool pose in Mega Man X games, since the games tend to freeze you in place for a second or two as you transition from the corridor to the room.

When I replay Mega Man X games I try to beat the bosses without using their weapon weaknesses as it makes for a more satisfying and more dramatic fight. It's the way I actually imagine Zero fighting them, X seems like the more likely one to rely on weapon weaknesses. He needs short cuts, while Zero is pure skill and power.

I don't use healing items in games unless I really have to. It feels like cheating. I also like doing no damage runs in many games, which can be both fun and frustrating in equal measure.

If I can finish a boss fight with a super move or something particularly cool looking I will always try to (like dashing towards them and firing off a fully charged blast with Mega Man X).

I must collect every ring, coin, etc. in a platform level including all of the hidden, collectible items.

I always do all side quests before proceeding with the main storyline in a game.

I will NEVER play a game on anything below normal difficulty. I have my pride.

I'm very anal about statistics in games. I actually hate when games have statistics pages. If a game tracks deaths I obsess about keeping them at zero. If I die and it gets recorded I will reload a previous save or overwrite my current save file with an older backup save. I also have to keep hospital visits at zero in a Grand Theft Auto game.

I always talk to every NPC no matter what the game is and multiple times to make sure they don't have additional dialog. People actually take the time to write this stuff and many gamers just ignore it.

using Cait Sith useless ass to insta kill all of the 4 extremely powerfull weapons super bosses in the og FF7, just start battle with his Limit Break full and insta kill them.
