hey guys
is there any way to play Zelda ocarina of time on Psp?
I saw Mario 64 is playable on psp , so why zelda OOT is not ?!

The source code for Mario 64 was made public, and with that it could be straight ported to the PSP, so it's running natively on the PSP.

The source code for Zelda did not leak as far as I am aware.

Unless that happens and it's ported, it's not very likely that it will be playable on the PSP otherwise.

Unfortunately it runs roughly on PSP.
I would say in the realm of hacks its better to use a 3DS and buy the games/download roms of OOT and Majoras Mask for 3DS

I am still hopeful for people creating demakes of N64 Zelda games and porting them to PSP homebrew.

Ocarina of Time code was reverse engineered and released publicly, just like Mario 64. They both received ports as well, though I did not found a Zelda one working for PSP.

Porting games from consoles like n64 is possible but it will be really hard and need a lot of hard work. If you know c++ you can port any game from any console. If you don't some other simple ones like python can be helpful which have c and c++ as it's base.
I think some Emulators made for consoles like Xbox or PlayStation. So maybe you can find one emulator of n64 for psp.

Not to be that guy but - the SM64 source code was never made public, it was painstakingly reverse engineered by fans. I'm only saying this because it's a pretty impressive accomplishment, besides I don't think Nintendo ever publicized any of their source code.

I was not aware of this, as Mario 64 was suddenly ported to everything and Zelda wasn't ported to anything I have modded.

I suppose it was how it was worded when it made the rounds a few years ago, I assumed the source code leaked, but the fact it was painstakingly reverse engineered is crazy.

Nintendo will never let anything see the light of day, I was extremely disappointed that wind waker is going to have the gamecube version emulated instead of just giving us the HD version of the game. I am just glad xenoblade chronicles x made it off the wii u by the end.

Nintendo love cease and desists, I saw that OOT was almost done being ported to vita and it was dropped and never touched again, nothing mentioned about why, but it's easy to guess, I am surprised anyone is still working on these things, given what nintendo are like. Goldeneye appears to be finished and runs on linux??

tnx for all your helps my friends
sadly I don't know c++ to port games
I'm hoping some one port this lovely game for psp so we can enjoy it again and revive our memories

OoT was reverse engineered and ported in the form of Ship of Harkinian. Can anyone please take this and port it further onto PSP? Or is that impossible or something...?

Not impossible but hard I presume. You're gonna have to either wait for a skilled programmer or a team passionate about that exact goal to step in by their own sheer will, or become that person yourself.
