Does anyone here watch object shows? I mean shows like Battle For Dream Island (and it's sequels/spinoffs) and Inanimate Insanity, as shown below:

Looks cute, it seems like it's mostly about objects and foods

Pretty cool ::dkapproves

i actually have a bunch of fan animations on my youtube

(and its my fav,too after that is jeffy )

nun of these would because bfdi is a web series and not some thing main line
I thought the idea was that the show is centered around animated objects that are normally inanimate rather than its format or how it's distributed.

What a weird thing to call a genre, then. What if bfdi got picked up and aired on disney channel, would it cease being the thing that it's supposedly the main example of?

I don't fell like thinking but here is the first thing on Wikipedia
Battle for Dream Island (BFDI) is an animated web series on YouTube created by Chinese-American twin brothers Cary Huang and Michael Huang. As the series has over 1.9 billion total views,[a] you may be surprised that Wikipedia does not have an article for this series. This is because of a lack of independent reliable sources covering BFDI. Without them, there would be no other way for an article to follow Wikipedia's neutral point of view and verifiability policies. Despite many attempts to find such sources, none have been found; however, sources have been found for another project of the Huang brothers, The Scale of the Universe.
(fun fact bfdi was made my 12 back in 2010)

That's great but the thread isn't about BFDI. It's about object shows with BFDI used as an example of such show.

this is sort of a pointless discussion until the poster shows up to clarify a bit on the subject.
hopefully they will show up soon.

Not sure what there is to misunderstand. OP mentions another show, Inanimate Insanity, as another example of what they mean. Clearly BFDI is not the focal point of the discussion. I don't mean to be hostile or anything but unless they wanted something else and just worded it clumsily I don't see how my interpretation is wrong.

Inanimate Insanity was the second "object show ever made" (now there are over 100s)
hope fully that helps also try searching it on YouTube you'll get better results

i was jumping around 6 tabs so i probably lost track of what was happening.
Aqua Teen Hunger Force is the best show in this category that i learned about 20 minutes ago though.

Ok, I'll explain what "object show" means.

It's basically a genre of animated webseries shows whose format is generally a parody of competiton-based survival reality shows (think Survivor, Koh-Lanta). There's also a cartoon of the same format called Total Drama Island which is basically a parody of those reality shows, which then inspired Battle For Dream Island (the first object show)

TL;DR = Total Drama Island but with anthropomorphic objects as the cast instead of humans.

Okay. I guess that would have probably been obvious if I had heard of these shows before. I've seen total drama. Didn't know that people made more like that.
