I'd like to mess around with a simple object oriented engine like the old The Games Factory just for fun, but I'd like something that could export games not only to Windows but also to Android as a simple apk, for ease of sharing. Does such a thing exist?

Considering you mentioned The Games Factory, by "object oriented" you mean visual editing without the use of code?

Modern Game Maker have visual scripting as an option and Construct 3 uses exclusively that. Although they're both are paid software.

Or you really mean the object oriented paradigm in traditional programming?

Yeah, I meant the first option you said. Just dragging objects while setting properties to them.

Damn this looks comfy. I played a few games from the Games Factory back then but never tried the software myself.
