To-Do Number of posts/threads per page

It would be nice if we could choose the number of posts/threads per page like we can do in some forums' systems. Personally i'd like to choose 50 posts/threads per page.

I've checked and there's a paid add-on that does just that, for now I won't invest into paid add-ons, if I can get some ads I will buy it immediately so you can set it as you please. I suspect we won't have any ads for at least 6 months.
For now i've increased it to 25 I personally don't want to load too many messages at once.

Please dont do this. I thought this was a normal setting that was disabled in the forum. I'd NEVER request a forum's feature that needs to be paid. ;)

This type of forum "Xenforo" is very revenue driven.
Every small customization is paid, also the admin encourage this behavior by NOT making the most basic features part of the core. So every bob & Joe code 2 lines and charge you $20 for it.

You are right to be confused, I was too! but by then I had already bought the Xenforo license now it's too late to go back.

Eventually someone that can code will join and will help me code those modifications.

I hope you dont mind me asking for this here but i dont want to create a thread just for this: Could you please add support to attach .7z and .rar files? Only .zip files are allowed here and i'd like to attach a pack of pics here per request of Spike.

Done but attachments are meant for small files. Might be better to use a la external host for big files.

I just learned I can move attachments off-site and have a big fat server to hold large files.
So when that's implemented I can bump the attachment size limit to something big. Until then it will be limited. Cos this is a web server not meant for hosting large files.

I've just been looking into this myself, because I couldn't believe it was only possible with an unofficial paid mod. Allowing members to customize the number of topics/posts per page has always been a basic default forum feature.

I mean I don't mind paid mods if they are useful and reasonably priced. But this particular feature should be included with vanilla XF (especially considering the price of XF).

I'm actually kinda disgusted and disappointed with XF right now.

Xenforo is disgusting. You are right to think that.
Try to do anything and it's incredibly convoluted, not possible or there's a paid add-on that kinda works but there's no guarantee nor support if it doesn't.
What is worse, 90% of the add-ons are not compatible with the latest version of xenforo (2.3).
So even if an add-on exists it will most likely not be compatible with 2.3 or it will be paid, or both.
BTW they are releasing 2.4 soon...that will be a shitshow.

Trying to get the devs to make a basic feature part of core is impossible.
